In 2004 I was involved in my first small birthday project for Alexei.  A poem that a few fans helped me write by contributing lines for me to use.  It was either posted or added to his birthday greeting on his website.

To You , Our Miracle On Ice

We see you and we see art on ice, we see the passion flashing in your eyes.
Without even knowing us, you gave us wings to fly, a smile from you feels like a piece of sky.
For all that once was wrong with in us, you made right, we love you dearest child of light.
When we are watching you skate, we always seem to be entranced as if we are in a dream.
We are always in awe and amazed by your power and might.
When you smile, we are happy, when you’re crying our tears flow freely while we are sighing.
We become your mirror reflecting with our words, your emotions deep down inside.
You soar, our pride and joy sails to the highest height.
We float like we are ascending up into the atmosphere higher than a kite.
We hope you enjoy our poem we support you: you make our hearts take flight.
Because
of you our lives are filled with sun light, Happy Birthday to our
bravest hero, we wish that you may forever shine like a star so bright,
with all our love, your fans from your Official Website.
