I started a new game and I used Easy again, because it has been awhile, before a player can play the game, he or she has to pick the level of difficulty, which goes from Easy to Brave. I have not tried that level yet, and the player must also select the outfit for Princess Merida to wear. I chose her green dress that she wore in the movie. Then, I was ready to play, so here comes the Introduction. Introduction The introduction stage of the game began with a cut scene that showed Merida, as she chased after her mum , Queen Elinor after she was turned into a bear. During this time, I practiced learning how to jump, which came in really handy when her mama bear knocked down trees in Merida's path. Merida also crossed over a bridge , before she fell and I discovered that it could not have been avoided. After Merida's fall, there was another cut scene where Princess Merida told the story and basically introduced her family, at least her mum and dad. Once that cut scene was over, Merida was in a clearing where she found her first chest, that contained her Training Sword . Then, I had Merida practice using her Training Sword by swinging my wii remote back and forth. I had her hit flowers, statues of her father Fergus, along with some clay pots. All of these items had gold coins that I wasted no time in collecting. She also busted through a tall wooden fence to go to the next area. In the new area, Merida broke more clay pots and statues of Fergus, then I whacked away at the flowers too. Once, I knew that all of the gold coins were collected, Merida faced her first puzzle. There were some stones glowing like a red hot burners on a stove, but she did not get burned. She had to step on them in the correct order, that I did after a few tries. I had her step on the first stone that was in the top right corner, then she stepped on the stone in the top left corner, and the puzzle was solved after she stepped on the stone that was in the bottom corner. After the stones were glowing a very bright white color, she found her second chest with her Training Bow inside. Then, she used her Training Bow when I pressed the B button on the wii remote, and I also pressed 1 to open the chest. After she found her Training Bow, she went into an area that had a pressure plate that she stood on, to expose some targets. She had to hit one target on the tree and the other one on the closed door. She hit them both and she went through the newly opened door. Where she found more gold coins , before I learned how to have Merida do a wall jump. I had to continually hit the A button. After she jumped up the wall, she saw her mum running off again. She talked about how she couldn't keep chasing her and exclaimed that it was the witch's fault. Then, you guessed it another cut scene after Merida followed the wisps, and she went to the witch's cottage. Where the two had a conversation after she blamed the witch. The witch reminded her that it wasn't, and she heard how Mor'du was turned into what he was. Merida was also given her first charm, an earth charm, that she used to defeat spirit wolves, until the clearing was healed. Then, Merida was told by the witch's voice that she opened new lands for her to explore. That concluded the Introduction, and the actual first part of the game was called, Forest Grove. I played that section and I will share that next time. In Forest Grove, Merida found more gold coins and she used the earth charm to hit a target that made a leafy ledge, she jumped up on two of these leafy ledges. Then, she found more gold coins and her next chest . This chest contained her first piece Tapestry of Valor that increased her health, her cool wisp friends' and her mother's health. She also climbed up onto a huge log and heard Mor'du's growl, before more spirit wolves came along. During the battle, she had a will-o -the wisp come to her, because she did not take on any damage. Wisps helped her do critical hits and damage to her enemies. When this happened, there was a lighting strike that let her know they were critically hurt. After the battle, I cleared the area of gold coins, before she hit another earth charm symbol with her arrow that made another ledge. Once Merida went up, she took on even more spirit wolves. During that battle, I saw ten streaks of lightning! I had three wisps going around her. Merida was also able to buy some upgrades , I chose the Dodge and The Slam Attack. Then, she discovered that her brothers had been turned into bear cubs. I can not recall their names, but they are mentioned on the video. They were there to help Merida solve puzzles and to help her get doors open that she couldn't. I l also played at them, and it took me some time, but then I had the first little bear go and hop up on a ledge. Then, he waited while the other two brothers stepped on some pressure plates to get the first brother across to the other side where a lever was waiting. He pushed the lever and the door opened. Merida thanked them and told them to be careful. I found more gold coins when I had her smack a statue of her father, Fergus. She also jumped onto more leafy ledges , found more gold coins, before she had to defeat more spirit wolves after she jumped up on more leafy ledges. There was another puzzle with the same stones as before. Once I figured out the order, I had Merida go over to the first stone, then over to the second one, before she went to the third one. Once that was over, she met and defeated a tree like enemy , I guess spirit trees, don't quote me on that, they kind of reminded me of Groot. She also had to watch out because if the trees are destroyed arrows shot out of them in all kinds of directions, she had to jump to avoid them. After she opened another door, she found her mum injured and went to a bog to look for yarrow root. So that she could make a paste to heal her mum. In the bog, I forgot about the exploding plants and she got hit a couple of times, until I hit them first and made them all explode at once. Once she was across the bog, she found another earth charm symbol, that she hit with her arrows to create a zip line. She zipped across to another area of the bog where she found more gold coins and another chest. After she opened the chest, she found her second piece, Tapestry of Battle . That piece of tapestry increased her power attack. She took another zip line over to yet another area and battled more spirit wolves, that were guarding the root she needed. She returned to her mum and healed her injury , and then Merida was surrounded by all kinds of enemies , and I loved playing Mama bear, she swiped her paw and took out of most of them, she also had a very powerful stomp move that I used for most of the fight. Those enemies quickly learned that they shouldn't mess with mama bear. I also made sure to collect all of the gold coins while I was playing as Merida's mum. I am going to stop here for now, and I will continue the second half of Forest Grove tomorrow. Re:BRAVE Date Posted:05/02/2018 1:31 AMCopy HTML Forest Grove Continued At the end of the first epic battle that her mama bear took care of, her mum ran off again. Merida saw that her mum was starting to become more like a bear. Then, she continued on and came to another puzzle that she had to solve. During the puzzle, she had to be pretty quick, and this one took me sometime, but not too long to figure out. She had to step on a pressure plate, hit an exposed target, and she had to hurry and hit two other targets to open the door, or gate that came down. Once the gate was down, she went inside an old castle, and she had to step on more red glowing stones. I had her go to the first stone on the right , the second stone on the left, and the third stone that was closest to another gate. Once the gate was opened she found a statue that had a lot of gold coins. Then, she traveled through the other open door and she took on some fire enemies some were new to her, but she handled herself quite well. After that battle, she found the fire charm! YAY! After she was back inside, her brothers had to help her open the next door. In this second puzzle for the boys, one little bear got on a wooden platform, while the other little bear raised it. Then, the third little bear, pulled on another lever to swing the platform around until it was up against the area the first little bear had to get to. So, the first little bear hopped up and went to a lever, pulled it and the door opened. Merida went through the opened door and she found another statue after firing her fire charm powered arrow to burn a wooden obstacle. When she went inside, she found another statue of her dad maybe and found more gold coins. I honestly was hoping for a sword that she was supposed to find. Oh well gold coins are very important too. Then, she went back outside took on more enemies, or she had a very tricky wall jump with stones that lit up. I will admit that wall jumps were never my favorite thing, as she went up, she had to hit the stones. She slid down more times than I care to mention, but I never gave up, I just kept on having her jump, until she finally made it to the top where she had to make a big jump to get over to the left side and step on the last stone. Then, she had to make another huge jump to get back to the right side, but it was all worth it when Merida found the Tapestry of Ferocity piece. That made Queen Elinor's damage increase. After that Merida used a zip line , defeated the fire spirit wolves, had another wall jump and she found more gold coins. She took another huge jump on a high grassy cliff to open the chest with the Claymore that was her next sword that she would use in her battles, and to find gold coins with. After she found the Claymore , she like danced around , or said in exclamation, "What a fine weapon!" Something along those lines, and her next destination was going to be Coastal Cliffs. So that is where I am at, this is embarrassing to say but in my first game, I thought I was stuck, because in the game once you heal a land, you can go back and play, so I was trying to figure out how to get to the next land. I found a walkthrough and I felt so silly when the video showed me that Coastal Cliffs was right next to Forest Grove. Oh well, I watched some of it to see what Coastal Cliffs is like. You all can peek ahead too and see what it was like. It was very beautiful to look at really I have always loved the graphics in this game. Re:BRAVE Date Posted:05/04/2018 2:34 AMCopy HTML Coastal Cliffs Coastal Cliffs began with Merida as she climbed up the rock ledges. Then she was sneak attacked by a fire charmed spirit tree. But, she took care of it before she collected more gold. She also met Mardu and she had to take on more fire charmed enemies along with a new rock monster. Once all of the enemies were gone, I began building her power attack upgrade at the merchant. After the merchant, Merida had to jump across a series of rock cliffs, and for once I did not die on the first three . Then, she took on and defeated mean crow like birds, before there were three more rock cliffs for her to jump across. I was pretty proud of myself because she did not die and she kept her wisp friend! However, on the last three I died on the first one. I still made it though, and had another rock monster and more mean birds. After they were defeated, she had to step on a pressure plate, and she used her dodge to quickly get in . Once she was inside, she got close to another door , it opened and she had to fight the new rock monster without the corresponding charm. If the rock monster wasn't enough the wild bore like rock monsters were enough. I'll admit I died once, but she survived the second time. Then, she went to a room and found the wind charm! She tried out her new charm on some cloud symbols and when she hit them with her arrow, clouds were created. Well, they reminded me of clouds. She hopped on one, and she got on the ledge, hit another symbol on the other side. Of course, she missed her landing but I got her up onto the main ledge on the second try. I also switched charms to fire and used it to open a door. She followed a path, that led to the outside. It was the same place that she couldn't get before. Then, she used her wind charm to take the wind out of the mini rock monsters. She also took on more mean crow like birds. After that battle, Merida went back to a cliff hit the cloud symbol and she went up on to the cloud. Hopped up to a rocky ledge, and she found the second piece of Tapestry of Ferocity. That in turn increased Queen Elinor's health damage. Then, Merida kind of back tracked as she jumped across the first set of the rocky cliffs. Merida also took on more rock monsters, before she hit a earth charm that made a ledge. She also paid a visit to the merchant and I started paying for her fire charm's upgrade. Then, she collected more gold coins, used a launch pad , collected more gold coins, and used a zip line. After the second zip line, she took on more enemies, before she found more gold coins. Merida used two more zip lines, got more gold coins, defeated the mini rock bores. She went to a large area where she had to destroy another rock monster. Then, I had fun while she collected more gold coins and health. Then, she solved a puzzle with targets that she had to hit in the right order. I had her hit the last one first, the second one after that and the first target last. After the targets were hit, a chest appeared and she got the second piece of Tapestry of Battle. That lengthened the duration of her attack, and she cleared the area of gold coins. She also jumped across the cloud platforms to another area, where she found more gold coins. She also found more fire charmed and wind charmed enemies, before she jumped across more cloud platforms and found her next bow, the Short Bow. Her new bow increased the damage for all her bows. I also had her do some more shopping and I started purchasing the health upgrade. Merida went along and she collected more gold coins, before she had to take on more fire charmed trees. After the battle, her little bear trios helped her solve a puzzle. In this puzzle, one little bear had to pull a lever and that lowered a rock platform. While the second little bear bro had to get on it , and he stood on it. Then, the third little bear that was at the top stood on a pressure plate. The second little bear bro had to pull another lever that made the rock platform back up. He pulled his lever after he crossed a bridge that in turn removed an obstacle for the third little bear bro , so that he could push the last lever. All of those actions, a gate like bridge fell over, Merida went into the new area and opened a chest with the second piece of Tapestry of Valor. Everyone's health in the game except for the enemies of course was increased. Then, Merida jumped across some ledges, took on more fire charmed enemies and wind charmed enemies. Before she left, I went shopping again to increase her energy that she gained from taking damage. After shopping, she went back to the Ring Of Stones and Chilled Creek became available. Now, I have to play Chilled Creek , not tonight though this post wore me out lol. Hopefully on Monday I will be ready to share the next BRAVE adventure. Chilled Creek After Merida went through the new door way, she used her bow and arrow to hit a log for some gold coins. I also had her remove an obstacle with her fire charmed arrow. When she went inside, she found another statue of her father and she found even more gold coins. Then, Merida continued along the frozen path and she found more gold coins, before she entered into a clearing that had all kinds of fire enemies, that she took out without a scratch on her. She even gained a wisp! After the area was healed, or had its curse broken, I went shopping. I purchased an upgrade that was called the Collection Range and that upgrade increased the collection of currency and health potions. After we left the merchant, Merida tried to see if she could get on to a high ledge. (Well, I did he he). Which of course I couldn't , so she continued to go straight forward on the path. Where she found more gold coins, and some ledges that were easier to jump on to. After she collected more gold coins, she unblocked a covered cave entrance, after she melted away some snow blocks. She went inside and found a chest that contained her third piece of the Tapestry of Battle. The duration of her power attack was increased. After she left the little cave, she walked through another entry way and I discovered that she was on the same high ledge I had tried to reach before. The ledge had a zip line that she slid down and found more gold coins. Then, she walked through another entry way and collected even more gold coins. After the gold coins were cleaned out, she walked on the snowy path before she came up to some earth charm symbols. I switched to earth , she hit them and jumped along the ledges. She landed , before I switched back to the fire charm and she took on more fire enemies. I died once, but she had enough health to take them out. Then, a gate opened where she found her final charm, the ice charm. Not long after the ice charm was found, she had to use it to make ice blocks so that she could jump across the water to get to the other side. Once she was on some solid ground again, she collected more gold coins and moved on. She walked through a walk way and collected more gold coins, before she faced bigger bore like rock monsters that were on fire. So, while I was quickly trying to switch the charms, I went to earth, she took out the first one. She got knocked down, but she got the second one cooled off with her ice charm, and if the bores were not enough, she also faced a rock monster that had to be simmered down with the ice charm. There were more fire bores too, but once they were all defeated Merida collected more gold coins. I also had to navigate more ice blocks to get across to another area. This stage was always a challenge, it took the right timing, Merida to not jump off too quickly, or just walk off the things too, and the right direction. She finally made it to the first two little islands. Then, I was not too sure of where to go next, but I got her to the next area. I got her to a ledge, and there was another puzzle to solve with a chest, but she jumped down to get more coins, and I could not get back to the ledge. Oh well, I moved on and she had more battles to fight, to end the curse for that area. She had to face a rock monster that was made of solid ice, and not only that, but he had the power to make ice shards. She melted him with her fire charm though, and I went shopping . I started buying an upgrade for her ice charm. I also invested more in her slam attack. Then, I tried again to get back to the chest, but I just ended up going the wrong way on the ice blocks, and Merida went further away , as she took on the mean trees while she tried to stay on the ice blocks. Then, I had another puzzle to solve. She had to open a door, so that she could find a key. Like all of the puzzles, this one had a certain pattern that involved pressure plates. One part moved the design, and the other part of it moved the wheel, until a design that I always thought looked like an arrow was together and facing the right way. Then, she got inside what looked like another castle, and she had another puzzle with some stepping stones. I had her step on the first stone and a target appeared. She hit the target, and went to another one and hit the target. Then, she stepped on the last stepping stone to get the last target. After all of the targets were hit, she had to jump on some stone pillars, and a ledge . Of course I died simply because I could not figure out how to get to the next chest. Until, she hit a earth symbol and made a step that she jumped on to after jumping from another stone pillar. Then, she walked around, went across a draw bridge that had been lowered, found the key and the third piece of Tapestry of Valor. Everyone's health was increased. She also found the third piece of Tapestry of Ferocity which increased Queen Elinor's damage. After the chest was opened and the gold coins were found, she opened the locked area and then the little bear trio had to help her with a puzzle. The first little bear bro had to help the other two get up to their levers, he controlled a wooden platform that each little bear bro got on to get to their places. Then , the other two controlled the lowering and the rising of the wooden platform, so the first little bear bro was lifted up to a higher ledge. Which happened, when the third little bear bro pulled his lever to turn the platform , so that the first bear bro could get across, he pushed his lever forward and the gate fell. She went through the newly opened gate way and had a launch pad. She stepped up on it, I pushed the 1 button on my wii controller and she was launched up to an area where there was more ice blocks to jump on. She also had some more mean birds that she took out, and she collected more gold coins along with much needed health. She took on more enemies , jumped on more ice blocks, then she saw Mor'du and the exit back to Ring Of Stones . I returned to the Ring Of Stones, then I headed back to Chilled Creek and the area I forgot to go to in my first visit. She did everything I mentioned before, except I kept all of the collected gold coins, I did not go shopping . I had a better time on the ice blocks, and she got to area with the chest and Merida had to solve another puzzle. She stepped on the top three stones first and second, then the bottom one last. She was rewarded with her new sword the Sharpened Runes and all damage for her swords were increased. Then, I wrapped up the second visit to Chilled Creek, and now I am ready for the next new land, Buried Passage . I will probably play it tomorrow and take more notes to post and share as soon as I can. Until Buried Passage! Once she got to some ground that she could stand on again, she collected some gold coins. She also took on some fire charmed spirit trees before she collected more gold coins. Then, she jumped onto some grassy ledges and she collected more gold coins, and she jumped a little closer to the cave's entrance. When she made it into the cave's entrance, she took on more fire charmed spirit trees. She got a wisp went to a dark and since I could not see Merida fell in into some water and she lost the wisp. Then, she went along some other ledges and collected more gold coins. Once she went deeper into the cave, Merida was suddenly ambushed by the rock bores, but she took them out. Then, she made a jump to another area to collect more gold coins before they faded away. After she got the coins, she jumped back over to the other area that was on before, and she went up to a earth symbol and made a ledge. After her jump, she was in an area that was super dark, and I could not see it was pitch black and this game does not have an option where you can make the game brighter. So, she kept on missing the ledge or the step that she was supposed to be on or jump on. This happened a couple of times until I stood up and I could see better. Once I could see, she went to a bright clearing and I had her use her ice charm, but she died because the enemies were fire charmed trees. So, I switched the ice to fire and the second round went to Merida and her flaming arrow. She collected more gold coins, and I skipped the merchant, I wanted a bigger shopping spree. She also performed a wall jump to get some gold coins that were out of reach. She also walked along behind a waterfall and collected more gold coins. Then, she had another wall jump to solve a puzzle, that was like a previous puzzle, where she had to touch the stepping stones while she jumped up. The door that I thought would open, stayed closed and another one at the top opened. In this area, there were some thorns that always got me, so I lost my wisp. She also had to find a key, but before she could there were more enemies, that she faced after she jumped across some floating rocks. The enemies were fire charmed spirit trees and new little plant like minions . She took care of all of them and I got my wisp back, well Merida did. She also collected a key, then she jumped down into another area, where she collected more gold coins, and jumped across some more floating rocks she created with her wind charm. She lost her wisp when a rock bore knocked her down, but she took them all out. I am going to stop here for the night, I will continue this tomorrow. Until Then! At first , I thought I was lost, but I saw the door that she had to unlock. So, she unlocked the door with the key that she found, and went into another very dark area. Where she had another ambush from the fire charm bores and fire charm spirit trees. The battle concluded with her getting more gold coins and more health. Her wisp friend also came back. Then, she had to jump across on ledges she made with her earth charm. She jumped to each one with ease, and the wisp was still with us until the last jump to a stone when it was cut short. That made her fall, and she died, and the wisp was lost. She moved on though and once she jumped over to the other side, a spirit fire bore wanted to sneak in on her, but I had her fire charm ready and she got him instead. She had some more earth ledges to jump, which was really hard to judge where she was going to land, but she finally made it across. Once she made it to her next area she had to jump high and over the ground attacking thorns. She called them something else, but they reminded me of thorns. She got her wisp friend back after she took out more of the fire charm trees. But, she lost the wisp again when she had another fall while jumping onto something. Then, I got her prepared for battle , but Merida's mum took them all out as she swiped her mighty paw and stomped all over them. I made sure I had mum collect all of the gold coins and health if she needed it. Then, Merida used her wind charm to create a launch pad. She was launched over to the other side, and I switched her charm back to wind in order to take out the wind bores, and she got a wisp , before I switched from her wind charm back to her fire charm to take out some fire charm trees. After that fight, Merida had two wisps! Her two wisps hung around her as she hopped across to another area that she could not access on her own. Her little bros were there ready to help her with a puzzle. This one took a few minutes , but I just took my time, and I highlighted each little bear to see what role they played. One little bear bro removed the gate for the other little bear bro. They all helped each other with removing gates when they stepped onto their pressure plates. Then, the two little bear bros held some stone pillars in place, while the first little bear bro activated his switch and a gate came down. When the gate came down, the water that was flowing was stopped, and the ground was dry for Merida to walk on. However, when the new area was opened I had Merida go to a path that was to her left. She made some ice blocks with her ice charm, went over to the chest and found her fourth piece of the Tapestry of Valor. Everyone's health was increased , then Merida found another key, and lost her wisps when she had to jump up onto a ledge that she created. It was my bad , I had her jump too soon , she missed the ledge and fell into the thorns, ouch. Eventually she avoided them, before she battled wind enemies like wind bores and the wind charm rock monster. She got one of her wisp friends back, opened another chest and she found her fourth piece of the Tapestry of Ferocity. That increased Queen Elinor's damage . After that, Merida jumped high and I had her go over to the side to avoid the thorns, before she came up to another puzzle, or at least a pressure plate. She stepped on the pressure plate, got a target, hit the target, and she found the next key. After she collected the key, she made another launch pad , and she was launched over to the area with the locked key stone. This area was kind of dark, and I thought there were thorns, so my bad again she walked off the path and fell into a pit or a ditch, either way she lost the wisp. She also took on more of the fire charm trees and some wind charm bores. After that battle, she had 11 streaks of lightning and three wisps came to her! She took her three wisp friends for a ride, while she climbed another wall jump with a stepping stone puzzle. Once, she was up, she went into a completely dark area, I was almost afraid to move her lol . She cautiously moved forward, until I saw a light , a small light and I had her go in that direction to another area, and she battled more fire charm trees and other fire charm foes. Once that fight was won , Merida had four wisps! I couldn't celebrate yet, she still had another fight with the fire charm trees and new little pests. I called them little plant minions, and the minion spit some poison at her so she lost them, but she got one back. The wisp's visit was short lived though, when she had to jump on more ice blocks. Once she did get off of the ice blocks though, she found another chest and her next bow, the Horned Hunter's Bow . Her new bow increased all of her other bow's damage . After she had her new bow, she had to jump across more ice blocks until she made it to another launch pad. I hit the 1 button and she was launched into the air, before I found her a safe place to land. She was not safe though, because a huge rock monster was throwing rocks at her and she had to keep on moving as she dodged the rocks. When she reached the other side, she could still get hit, and I quickly made her made the earth ledges that she climbed, I also collected more gold coins when I could. She made it up to yet another launch pad and she went over to where these monsters were, and it took some effort and time, but she finally won that battle too. So, then I went shopping at the merchant and I finished buying the upgrades that I had started to buy before. These were for her attacks and her charms that were mostly for battle. Like her slam attack and her power attack. I also bought another upgrade for my wisp friends. Then, she went back to the Ring of Stones . That was when I realized that I had missed a chest that had an outfit in it. So, yesterday I think, I made a quick return to find her outfit, I don' know why or how I had missed the chest, but it was in an area that had some ledges she had to create. She had to jump on them , went up to a little cave and opened the chest. When she opened the chest, she got her woolen covering, to me it always looked like a white dress. It really helps her jump too , so I am glad I found it again. After my return, the new land opened up Swamp of Shadows. I played that one too, and wrote down more notes and I will share that tomorrow. Re:BRAVE Date Posted:05/11/2018 10:59 PMCopy HTML Swamp of Shadows The Swamp of Shadows began like any other of the lands, Merida cleared the area of gold coins. Then, she took on some more plant minions and fire charm trees. It was funny, the little ones actually ran away, it made me laugh. After the battle, the darkness was cleared away and she could go shopping, but I had already done some shopping in the other land, Buried Passage. So, she walked across the log , to solve her first puzzle in the Swamp of Shadows. There was a pressure plate that moved like the other wheel puzzle I had described before. Only in this puzzle, she had to switch the directions until the design was lined up and a chest appeared. She found her fifth piece of the Tapestry of Ferocity and Queen Elinor's damage to enemies was increased. After she opened the chest, she went across another log and collected gold coins . When I saw that she was about to have another battle, I got her charm ready , but then there was a cut scene with her mum and mama bear went after the enemies and took them all out as she stomped the ground and swiped them with her even mightier paw. I always had fun playing her, and I loved the gold coins that she collected. After Merida's mum left, she shot at some targets with her bow and arrow. Another chest appeared and she found her next sword that was called, the BearStrike Blade. All of the swords that Merida had were increased in their damage to the enemies. After she had her sword, Merida created floating rocks and jumped across the swamp. As she went along, she collected more gold coins. Once she was across, she took on some more fire trees, and opened a chest there. The chest had her fifth piece of the Tapestry of Valor and everyone's health was increased. Then, she had to jump on some earth platforms to avoid the thorns. She found more gold coins and she made a risky jump after a cut scene with Mor'du, before she found a chest with her next bow. The bow was called, The BearStrike Composite Bow. Just like the sword the damage for all of her bows were increased. After she had her new bow, she took on some more fire charm trees that did not take too long at all. Then, I went around and collected all of the gold coins. I also had her avoid some more thorns before she had to get through a double gate. It took me several tries even this time around , because I had to figure out the timing of the pressure plates. When she stepped on one a rock on a rope slowly went down, and the gate went up too. While the rock fell, she had to hurry and step on the second pressure plate that had another rock that went down to open the door. She had to use her dodge attack and quickly roll underneath and past the door, before both of the rocks went back up, or she had to start over. Which I did more than once, until I made it inside don't ask me how because I never know. After all of her gold coin collecting, she had another wall jump to go up on, before she used a floating rock platform that she made with her wind charm. That helped her reach a higher ledge and she collected more gold coins. During the second wall jump, she was surprised by the purple exploding swamp flower. Then, she collected more gold coins before she figured out how to get to another chest. This chest had one of the easiest ways to get to. All she had to do was make a floating rock platform, jump on it to get over the water of the swamp, land , step on the pressure plate, have the gate open, open the chest and get her fifth piece of the Tapestry of Battle. The duration of her power attack was increased. Then, I had her return to another part and she took out some spirit wolves and the little plant minions. She also took on some ice bores, avoided more thorns, made a floating rock platform , and stood on that before she jumped over the thorns , collected more gold coins, before the next obstacle. Which were a series of wooden platforms that she had to quickly jump across. I was pleasantly surprised and happy when she made it across on the first time! That did not happen in my first game . After she found some more gold coins, her little bear bros solved another puzzle for her. I had to jog my memory, but then I remembered that the first little bear bro 's switch controlled the cross bow? While the second little bear bro's lever or switch controlled the mini platforms. Then, the third little bear bro had to get across to his side and hit the final switch to open some doors. I hope that made sense and that I did not make my visitors go After the doors opened , she fought more enemies. First , the little plant minions , and fire charm trees before the rock monsters, that she cooled off with her ice charm. She collected gold coins, got chased by more rocks or rolling boulders, found more gold coins, and took on all kinds of enemies. There were plant minions, the ice bores, and ice charm rock monsters. After that epic fight, the exit opened after the darkness was defeated and that was the end of the Swamp of Shadows. She went back to the Ring of Stones and the next land was available, it was called Murky Chasm and I will play that stage next. Rain is supposed to move in on Sunday and Monday, maybe into the week, so I will do my best to post when I can. Until Murky Chasm! She also defeated more mean birds, and I was excited when she got two wisps. She jumped over to a little place that was kind of like an alcove and found gold coins. Then, she had another wall jump puzzle with the stepping stones that she had to land on as she jumped up. Once, she had completed it she found her first chest and the chest had the sixth piece of the Tapestry of Battle. The duration of her power attack was increased, and she made an earth ledge after she jumped up from a rock. She used the ledge to jump onto a higher ledge to get more gold coins. She used another series of ledges that led to an even bigger one at the top to find more gold coins. After she found the gold coins, I had her explore the area below it some more to find more gold coins. Once, she found the gold coins, she went into another new area . In the new area, she fought and defeated the fire charm trees. She also had to make another ledge in order to get a key, but then she couldn't get the key yet. So, I had her go inside a volcano that had very hot rocks and smoldering hot lava. She also had to defeat more mean birds and fire charm trees. After the fight, she collected all of the gold coins. In order to get around in the volcano, she had to use her ice charm and cool off rocks, before she quickly jumped around . Them, she made more ledges and floating rocks to avoid all of the hot stuff. During her journey around in the volcano, she had to take on more mean birds and I repeated the same steps mentioned before. She also cooled off a fired up rock monster, jumped around some more , got burned at least twice but a stone door opened and there was the key, so she grabbed the key and the door slammed shut once she was outside. Then, she used the key to go into the next area, where she collected more gold coins, after she solved another wall jump puzzle. This wall jump puzzle was tricky, and I couldn't see where the second stone was, but she finally hit it and the others before the little door opened. After all of that, I expected a chest , but all I found was another Fergus statue , but on the bright side she got more gold coins. She also fought the fire charm trees, and I kept on having her go into the water, which I did not realize that it was water . Oops. I had her use her fire charm to take out a wind rock monster, before she had another puzzle to solve. Like all of the other puzzles, she had to use a certain pattern and step sequence, to save time I will just let you all watch it on Wishing Tikal's video guide. Once the puzzle was solved, she found her next chest and bow , the Elkhorn Seige Bow. After she had her new bow, she grabbed more gold coins, and she made more ledges , and I had her explore a path where she took on more fire charm trees and another wind rock monster. Then, she returned to the ledges , climbed them, or actually jumped up where she found more gold coins. After she collected all of the gold coins, I had her return to the path and she walked along that path , before she lost some of her health because some fire rock bore monsters actually exploded in front of her. It was new to me, or I probably forgot that part. However, she survived and she took out the wind charm rock bores and rock monster. After that fight, Merida went shopping, and I purchased the rest of her power attacks , that I started , and I bought her charge shot for her fire charm. She was pleased and she said that it was the bow that she had always dreamed of having. When she was finished shopping, she crossed a bridge that was made by a fallen rock. I had her walk across it very carefully and slowly, because she had a wisp with her. After she was safely on the other side, she did some more climbing, and she defeated the ice charm rock bores and the rock monster. She won that battle, and found some more gold coins. As she continued on, she had to jump over the annoying thorns again, while trying to fire her fire charm arrow to burn off a twine covering to get some gold coins. She got passed the thorns, before her little bear bros had to help her out again to get to the next part . The first little bear bro stepped on a pressure plate, so that the second little bear bro could get through and pull his switch, which made the design on the wheel move , and the third little bear bro held onto his switch that he pulled, the design fell into place, and the first little bear bro activated his switch and the gate fell. She was happy and she went merrily on her way into the new area, where she found more gold coins and more annoying thorns , and I did my best to avoid them, before she came to another clearing, and she took on more plant minions and the rock bores. After she took them out, she went around the whole area and found all of the gold coins. She also made more ledges of earth and wind, jumped up along them, until she came to another path that was at the very top. In the area at the very top, she took out more wind rock bores and the rock monster. Then, she jumped along some more rock ledges and found more gold coins. She also fought more ice rock bores and another rock monster. This time, I skipped the merchant, and switched her charm back to ice and she surprised the exploding ice rock bores this time. Once they were gone, she had two more wisps and she jumped up onto a small rock before a cut scene after she jumped onto an island of rocks in another volcano. Mama bear was in the cut scene so I was like "Oh yeah! It's Mama bear time!" Mama bear did not mess around, the enemies should just learn that they shouldn't mess with Queen Elinor as a bear. She went around, swiped her big and even more mightier paw , then she stomped the ground and made all of the rock monsters fall to pieces. During the battle, I made sure to have her collect health and the gold coins, because Merida can't get them after the fight is over. The fight ended, Merida called out to her mum like she always does when mama bear runs off. Then, Merida used a zip line, and she made two more ledges. She also found her sixth piece and maybe final piece of the Tapestry of Valor, which increased everyone's health. She jumped up onto a path, took out more exploding rock bores, and she got one of her wisps back as she continued on. Until, she came to a place and made more ledges and of course on the last ledge she fell off and lost her wisp, but I think I made her over jump the ledge. But, she finally landed on the last one too, and she solved another stepping stone puzzle with a wall jump, before she went into the next area. In the new area, she found gold coins, then she walked along a rock or stone path, and died while jumping across pillars. Then, she made it and there were mean birds and a really big and mean bird waiting for her, I took my time as she hit the mean birds, then the plant minions wanted a piece of her, and during all of that craziness the really big and mean bird spit out pink flames at her. She was brave though, and defeated each enemy, with her earth charm, the final bird was finally destroyed, and the merchant 's place opened up as well as the door back to the Ring of Stones. When I left, I realized that I had missed two chests. I will call this part, Return to Murky Chasm When I had her return, I explored each area more carefully and I discovered the first missing chest, which was in the second volcano, where her mum fought the battle, I was up there too! I just did not pay much attention I guess, I don't know. Anyway, she found her outfit the Tartan Safeguard. As I continued to play the game, I had to check out the video guide and after watching Wishing Tikal's video guide, I had an Oh duh! moment . I had forgotten to double back on the second bridge she had to cross this one came after she climbed up, and so I had her carefully walk across that bridge, and at the very end was the second chest that I had missed. Merida opened it, she got her next sword, the Elkhorn Gladius. After she had her sword I played the rest through and she found even more gold coins. So, it pays off to go back. The next land is Frozen Loch that is where I got the Loch from and thought this was called Murky Loch lol. So, I will play that in between the rain and post it as soon as I can. Frozen Loch After Merida entered into Frozen Loch, she jumped up onto a small ledge where she found a small cave with her first chest inside. The chest had the seventh piece of the Tapestry of Ferocity, and Queen Elinor's damage was increased. She also collected some gold coins, and went across two docks that were by some old ships. Then, she fought enemies like, fire spirit wolves and a fire charm rock monster. She got gold coins from them after they were defeated. After the battle, it was time to ride more ice blocks. She rode some to a frozen clearing with a stepping stone puzzle. Once again, she had to step on each one in a certain order, so I spent a few minutes trying out different combinations. Until the first stone lit up, and that was followed by the third stone on the other side lighting up. Then, I tried the other ones and each time it canceled out what I had done so far in the puzzle. It was a memory game mostly, I had her repeats the steps from before and I had her step on the stone that was next to the third one. After that stone, she stepped on the stone that was directly across from the second stone. I also had her try the stone that was beside the other stone. Then, she went to the only one left that was not lit, and she got a chest with her next sword. The sword was called, the Mustangshock Tulwar. The damage for all of her swords was increased. After she found her new sword, she rode around on more ice blocks, and came to some targets, that she had to hit while she was on the moving ice block. She hit the first two and jumped up onto little patch of ice kind of like a cliff made of ice and snow, and she hit the third target. Another chest appeared and she found the seventh piece of the Tapestry of Battle. The duration of Merida's attack was increased. Then, I died because I had the wrong charm , I had ice and the enemy was a rock monster made of snow and ice. So, the game took me back , but she found more gold coins and I got him the second time around. I also went shopping and bought upgrades for Merida's power attack with fire, her power attack with ice, the power attack with wind, and her power attack with earth. I also increased her charged fire shot, and bought her charged ice shot, before I began buying the ability that would increase her charged ice shot. Then, I purchased her charged wind shot, and began building up her ability to increase her charged wind shot, got a charged earth shot too. That one was cool, because it came with minions that were created by her earth charge shot and they fought for Merida. Only one came out, but it was still fun to test that one out. After the shopping was over, I had to find more gold coins. I also tested out her charged wind shot and it made a fan of arrows, and the one that was really awesome was her charged ice shot. That upgrade froze enemies in their place! Once I was finished trying out her new abilities, she rode around on some more ice blocks, and she took on some mean birds, after she took care of them she got some health and a wisp. Then, she went to two large islands, after she got on the second one it moved! She had to use her fire charm charged shot to melt giant ice bergs. While doing that, she had all kinds of enemies that she fought. Then, she died at one point, because I focused on her defeating the mean birds while the ice island was moving and she kind of fell off while fighting them. The first little bear bro's switch controlled the harpoon and the arrows that hit targets. The second little bear bro 's part was to control its direction and he also made little wooden platforms to get their third little bear bro across. Once he was across, he activated his switch and the gate opened. Before Merida left, she found another chest and her new bow called the, Mustangshock Hunter Bow. The damage for all of the bows was increased. After she went through the opened gate, she had all kinds of enemies to fight. I tried her little earth minion but her enemies were fire charmed, so she took care of them. After the battle, the door way back to the Ring of Stones opened and she left Frozen Loch. Once she was back at the Ring of Stones, the last land opened I think it was called, Ruins of the Ancient Kingdom, but don't quote me on that. Ruins of the Ancient Kingdom After Merida entered into the Ruins of the Ancient Kingdom , she found some gold coins, and she collected them after there was a cut scene. The cut scene showed how she finally understood and realized that she didn't really think about her mum's point of view and she hoped that it was not too late. Then, she tried to climb up to a new area of the ruins where she came face to face with Mor'du . She told him that he did not defeat her and that she would end his curse once and for all. Then, she got back because he knocked her down, and she went into the new area, before she walked through it and into a room where she had to jump on pillars. Some of those pillars were burning and she had to cool them off with her ice charmed arrows. Of course, I missed the first jump, I had always missed that jump evey time I played. Then, she made the other jumps , before she cooled off the first two burning steps safe, then she hit the next two and died because she missed that jump. So, I had her cool off more, but they quickly turned back to burning hot steps. So, I had her do some fancy hopping and she made it over to the pressure plate. She stepped on the pressure plate and a target appeared on the wall, she hit the target before a small pillar came up. She jumped onto the pillar and she went over to a stepping stone, after she stepped on that, another pillar rose up . Then, she had to do some back tracking to get back over to the new pillar. Once, she got on the new pillar, she had to make earth ledges and she jumped on them. She also found another Fergus statue and she collected more gold coins. At the very top after her climb, there was another stepping stone. She stepped on the stepping stone and another pillar came up. So, I died on the way down, because she had to go down to get to the new pillar. She made it though, she survived and she went into an area that had been blocked off with vines. She burned them off with her fire charmed arrow, and she stepped on the last stepping stone that made another pillar come up as well. She also found a chest, and in the chest was her last sword that was called the, Ursine leash Edge. The damage with all of her swords was increased. After she got her sword, I died a few more times while trying to get her up to the launch pad that she had created with her wind charmed arrow. I did discover that I was more successful when I stood up while she had to jump. Because, some of the stone pillars were dark and her latest outfit was dark , so it really helped to stand up. Then, she was launched over to a new area and she fought all kinds of enemies. There were earth, fire, and ice , so I kept her on ice after I died once the fire rock bores rolled all over her. Anyway, she got them all on the second try. After the fight, I finished the purchase of the ice charged shot. I also purchased the upgrade for her wind charged shot, before I got a wisp upgrade to protect her with a bubble that would surround her and she had one wisp with her. She walked into another area, and her little bear bros helped her one last time. I discovered that the first little bear bro had to step on a pressure plate so that a wooden platform slid out. The second little bear bro had to jump up onto the wooden platform that was held in place by his first little bear bro. Then, the third little bear bro jumped up onto another wooden platform that was made by the second little bear bro. Once, the two other little bear bros were safely up, the first little bear bro let go of his switch that he pulled and held onto. Then, he raised a stone pillar or platform for the third little bear bro to stand on, it was raised and he went up to his switch, activated it and the gate opened. They jumped up and down, celebrated and a cut scene came along and she thanked her brothers for all of their help, and told them to be careful and that there was an evil force in that place. After the cut scene, she went through it and walked until she had reached the end of the new area. Where she collected more gold coins and hit two more targets that raised another platform that she jumped onto and I was happy that she did not die! Anyway, she jumped into the next area, and collected more gold coins. She also climbed up some very old steps and fought some fire charm trees that I used the wind charm on and it worked too. After that fight, she had two wisps with her and she continued down the path and came up to a puzzle for her next chest. The puzzle had two brass plates, that turned when she hit them. I will admit this one took me several minutes, I tried the first brass plate on the right and the first stone lit up. I hit the second brass plate on the left and the second stone lit up. Then, I had her alternate and she hit them many times . After that, the third stone lit up , which I lost that one and some of the others because I was trying to figure out how to get the fourth one lit up. But, I just kept on having her hit the plates until the fourth stone lit up, and the gate went up. She went inside and found her last bow in the chest. Her last bow was called, the Urisine leash Battle Bow. The damage with all of her bows was increased. After she got her bow, she had to take on all kinds of rock monsters, and I had her take them all out with the ice charmed arrows. Then, I went shopping and I bought a portion of the cool wisp's slam attack. I also bought a portion of the upgrade to increase her earth minions . After shopping, she went along and collected more gold coins, before it was time to get her dress back. The object of the game was to have Merida stand on a pressure plate long enough for a boulder on a rope went up, and that made a gate holding her last chest go up. So, that sounded simple enough right? Well, while she does that a rock rolls down and she has to get out of the way or get rolled over and lose health. So, after I attempted it a few times, and she rolled everywhere else than the opened gate, I gave up. I did not get the dress in my first game either until I went back and tried again the following year. So, stay tuned for when I try it again. So, she moved on, and went on to the next battle, which I thought was the boss battle, but there was a cut scene and Mama bear had one more fight. As Mama bear took them all out, I collected the gold coins, and after Mama bear left, Merida jumped onto another pillar, before she collected more gold coins, before she went to a room with a moving floor, kind of like an elevator, only on this one she had to fight enemies. The first enemies were spirit wolves and she defeated them before she collected more gold coins and health. Then, the exploding fire rock bores came after them, and after she took care of them, she had a ring of wisps around her! But, they quickly left after she got hit by the little plant minions , that she slammed and she took care of the fire charm trees with her wind charm and slam attack. Yet, one still came back, then she at her next destination. Which was the big battle, the boss battle. Before the boss battle, there was a touching cut scene where Merida apologized to her mum, her mum wanted to fight for her, but Merida told her that she had to fight the battle. Then, the boss battle began when Mor'du pounded the ground and caused a stone to fall which was the first stone. Then, there was a pause and I could not get her charms to change, until after the enemies appeared. The enemies were the usual ones that were made of ice and snow and the fire rock bores. She also had to face a giant ice wolf until he was gone, and after he was gone, she had to destroy the fire stone. So, she hit it a couple of times and destroyed it which made Mor'du mad. Then, the wind stone fell after he pounded the ground again, and most of the enemies were mean birds , and the giant mean bird was back. The mean birds swooped down on her and knocked her off already broken rocks, but she survived that battle too, I think I used the wind charm mostly, and I had her use it to destroy the wind stone. After the wind stone, came the ice stone , and I used the ice charm and fire charm to take out the fire charmed trees, and the rock monsters, and the ground breaking around her even more, if I left out any of the enemies you all can see them in Wishing Tikal's video guide. Then, the earth stone and a huge new rock monster along with the others, all I remember was that I had her jumping and shooting at everything and everywhere. She destroyed the earth stone, and Mor'du's soul was released, her mum and brothers were turned back into humans and I watched all of it unfold as Merida finished her story in the final cut scene. So, that is the end of BRAVE, at least for now . The next video game that I want to share is Scooby-Doo First Frights for Wii, l love that game too, and I will probably play it again and share what and how I did like I did for BRAVE. I will play it as soon as I can and share the first post soon.
