January 3rd, 2017

Hello !  I hope that you all who celebrated Christmas had a very merry one, and if you celebrated Hanukkah that it was very happy and peaceful.  Also that you all had a very happy Kwanzaa, then last but not certainly least, a very Happy New Year!  My year began with a surprise, it started last week when I went to my other e-mail account to access a security code for my X-Box Live account.  Yes!  I have a connection now, so that is my good news, my sister and bro-in-law sent me an Ethernet cable as part of my Christmas.

So, last Tuesday night I connected my X-Box to my router, and I got this business about not having an IP address or a valid one.  I tried to create one, and that did not work, so the following day I looked for solutions Online, I also switched the connection over to my Internet modem (high speed) .  Then, it gave me some other business about some other issue, which led me to looking for more solutions, I wanted to solve it on my own and not go to my sister for help.  So, I went to the X-Box support and found the issue I was having, and the instructions told me to set the console to factorysettings, and after I did , I had all of the information the X-box 360 needed and wanted.  For the first time in three years I had a successful connection test!

I was beyond thrilled, because that morning I had gotten the video game that I wanted for Christmas from my sister.  So, then I was told I had to download my X-Box Live profile and I did.  Which led to the code, and while I was there I read an e-mail from my college.  That had some shocking news, I will admit 2015 was a crazy year for me, so I doubt I would have been able to extend my course and finish it.  But, that was what I was supposed to do, pay an extension fee to get six more months, but I had no idea that they sent it, I don't go to that e-mail account very much, and after my sister's wedding my computer's hard drive crashed, and it took me most of last year just to get everything back in order.

I had to do my research for my proposal all over again, and I did , I also found something on a child's lifestyle, so I was planning on making another trip to the library after Christmas and New Years, so I made a choice and I am just keeping my writing for fun, a lot of people told me it really was not a career. I am still praying for wisdom and guidance, while I consider another option that I would really love. No it is not a video game tester,  but I love animals I think you all can tell.  In 2013 I was also looking into attending a college for becoming a pet vet's assistant.  So, I am looking at schools and my sister wanted me to make sure that the school or college was accredited.  I am trying to see what's out there, I was in contact with the Animal Behavioral College they do have this program, but I get mixed answers about their accreditation .  I also found another school so keep me in your thoughts and prayers while I explore a new direction .
I am going to go to the library and see what I can find as far as books about working as a vet assistant goes, just not this week this week is for taking down all of the decorations, and taking pictures !

I'll keep you all posted!

Have a wonderful day!

Re:Going In A New Direction 2017

Date Posted:05/16/2019 12:04 AMCopy HTML

Hello!  I have some updates to share about my choice to go in a different direction for my career, the next step that I took I mentioned in my first post, where I spent time looking up other schools and more information about their Vet Assistant programs.  Here is the URL to the Search Results from Yahoo, that I saved from two years ago.

https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylc=X1MDMjE0MjQ3ODk0OARfcgMyBGZyA3lteXktdC05OTkEZnIyA3NhLWdwBGdwcmlkAwRuX2dwcwMxMARvcmlnaW4DbXkueWFob28uY29tBHBvcwMyBHBxc3RyAwRxdWVyeQN2ZXRlcmluYXJ5IGFzc2lzdGFudCBzY2hvb2xzBHNhYwMxBHNhbwMx?p=veterinary%20assistant%20schools&fr=ymyy-t-999&fr2=p%3Amy%2Cm%3Asa

That was my mom's request, so I honored her request, but the best school that fit my circumstances and my desire to study at home Online, was Animal Behavior College.  I still prayed and asked God for guidance, I wanted to do what HE planned for me this time .    After some time passed, my sister called my mom on Mother's Day of 2017, and I told her what I wanted to do, and a little bit about what I would learn in the program, and this time she supported me 100%, which meant the world to me, she was just concerned about the accredidation, which they were through a Veterinary Association, I can't exactly recall the full title, and they had a A+ Rating with the BBB.  I had the biggest smile on my face, and she asked me to send her the information again, and the next day she sent her e-mail reply and told me to go for it!  So, I did, that very same night, or day, I requested information again, and not long after that I had the school contact me, and I worked on applying for a loan later that same month, and then in June I applied for the school and the program, in July of that year, I had a call from the school and I was told that my loan had been approved, I actually had two loan options approved.

We decided to have a follow up in the fall of that year, then that summer, I joined LOWE, Live Oaks Worship Ensemble , and I enjoyed singing for the LORD again, when fall came around so did Hurricane Irma, and we bought a generator that cost us over $800.00 , so when the call came I explained that to her , and she told me she understood and that when I was ready , to call her, let her know, my application to the school was good forever, I did not have to re-apply to the school, I would have to re-apply for the financial loan though, or find one through our bank.  So in 2018, my mom talked to our bank, and they had a loan option and whenever I was ready, I could come in and talk to them about it, I was ready for the fall of 2018, but then I got sick and had some serious infections , and I took care of my mom .

Now for this year's updates, after the Income Taxes were over, I told my mom that I was going to go to our bank and talk about loans with them, yesterday, she told me that the people I had to talk to were very busy, so I wrote her a note asking her to ask for an appointment and what kind of information that they needed.  She took my note , and before she left for the bank she got the mail and there was a new loan option that was tied with our bank, so she went to the bank and talked to a gentleman there, one of the executives , and he called me on the phone , and told me about the loan and then he sent me an e-mail in order to apply for the loan.

So, this morning, I applied and he wanted me to check to see if we had been approved, this loan is a lot cheaper to pay monthly than the loans I was approved for through the school, so I praised the Lord.

Those are all of the updates for now!

Stay Tuned!

God Bless!

Re:Going In A New Direction 2017

Date Posted:12/06/2019 2:44 PMCopy HTML

Hello!  Sorry that I have not shared an update in quite some time, I have been pretty busy.   The first update I have , is about the loan opportunity I was pretty excited about.  Well, when I check to see if we were approved, we were not, so the bank advised me to let some time pass and try again, so I did and that one was not approved, and I was told to try again, and this time apply jointly, and that was denied, so we had to work out some stuff, and I was tired of being denied by the same loan, so school was delayed, while we waited for some more options to come along.

I also contacted the school, when I did try to apply for a grant, and my school is private, so they don't take government funds, so while I was waiting for more loan opportunities, GOD opened some other doors, in the same month as my post from last time, I went to an informational meeting for Care Ministry , they needed people who could sing, play instruments, and be a puppeteer, or just a very friendly person to talk with people.  So, I filled out a little form and became a member of that ministry, they knew I loved to sing, but they were interested in my experience as a puppeteer, however the puppets I used , belonged to my former pastor and his family back in Indiana, so I was told that there was a couple in my church that had puppets.

In the mean time, I spent some time singing , first of all the Live Oaks Worship Choir resumed in August, and I also stayed for another practice for the Steve Green Christmas Concert , and this weekend is that concert with Steve Green , the choir sings on Saturday and Sunday night, so please pray for us , or keep us in your thoughts.  I also sang at two assisted living centers, one was called Trinity Springs, and they are right behind my church , we have a partnership with them , that began even before our new building was built .  We share the property and the parking, and now they can watch broadcasts of our services in their rooms, but I sang for a Chapel Service in October , my first song was Is He Worthy  , and last month I sang a song special to me Statue Of Liberty for Veterans week . Next week, I will be singing O Holy Night .   Then the following Saturday in October , I sang at another assisted living called, Atria .  I was filling in for a couple from my choir, and I sang the song , In The Garden.

Then, the same couple that I filed in for, the woman helped me get in touch with the couple that had the puppets, and I met the woman from my church, and we got a long, and I have a puppet, that is a little girl I named , Sally Jane.  So, last month we made our debut at Trinity Springs , and the people enjoyed the puppets, and we were asked to come back , after I asked the Chapel Pastor if he wanted us to come every month, my puppet partner has a puppet that looks like Elvis, so I mentioned that I had a Christmas CD of Elvis that she could borrow, and Sally Jane could sing Happy Birthday Jesus and Away In A Manger , then I will sing my special, before we close with some Elvis Christmas songs, if time permits.  When I mentioned our need of a bigger stage, that led to a woman telling me about her husband, so we worked on a design , but my partner found one Online , that sounded easier to carry, so the LORD worked all of that out , and in the middle of all of this or bank had news of more loans, and after a discussion, I had some information come in the mail, that we are both reading , and this time I will have people to help me walk through the loan application process, so all I can say is GOD is so good.

That is all of the news for now,

Until my next update!

God Bless!

Enjoy Your Weekend!

Re:Going In A New Direction 2017

Date Posted:12/08/2020 2:07 AMCopy HTML

Hello again !  Once again, I am very sorry for not posting anything ,   and thank you so much for your prayers and keeping the choir in your thoughts, the concert was great, it was a lot of fun, and we all gave GOD the glory, but there was something I did not mention in my previous post, I lost my grandma , my dad's mom last year.  On the Monday following Thanksgiving, we had a call from my sister, and she told us that grandma had passed away, and that was the week of the concert, so I really did not have time to grieve , and I had to keep smiling , my sister told us that the funeral would be quick , but she did not say anything about when , well I later found out that my grandma's funeral was on the same Saturday as the Steve Green concert, so I missed it, and I felt bad about it, but I had made a commitment to the concert, and members of my choir told me that she was smiling down on me and watching me sing from Heaven.

That helped me, then after the concert , I had my other commitment to my puppeteer partners and the people that came to see us at Trinity Springs, there was a woman there , and she looked like my grandma, so I told her about losing my grandma, and she gave me a hug , and prayed for me, I thanked her , and then I focused on the show our puppets had to do, it is safe to say that Sally Jane was a hit, so was Elvis, and it was a lot of fun, the people also enjoyed hearing me sing, and for some reason, I always mix up the two verses, that talk about our faith serenely beaming, and a star sweetly gleaming and that the wise men were coming , I put the wise men first and then I sang the first line, and I stopped myself, apologized and said that our faith comes before the wise men, they just laughed and still thought my song was good, I also reminded them the true reason for the season, Jesus.  Then, after those commitments were over, I threw myself into decorating the house inside and out for Christmas, and the choir had a commitment in the Christmas Eve service, so it was non-stop.

Before I knew it 2020 was coming in, and I did spend some time reading the loan information from my bank, there were a lot of loan options , then there was a change at Trinity Springs, the program for Chapel, changed to a Bible study, however we did discuss other assisted living facilities and possibly sparing a Sunday and visit them at the Sunday Chapel, then of course as you all know COVID-19 hit, so those plans were put on hold, but the Care Ministry had an opportunity to write messages to the residents during the time, when they could not have any family visit, so I filled out 25 cards, and even though my message of hope for brighter days, and letting them know that Jesus loved them, I also included individual Bible verses , those were not the same , we had the option to include some contact information, I put down my e-mail address.  The following summer, the full mouth X-Ray alarmed my dentist and I went to a specialist for a second opinion, and I decided to have the tooth pulled, it has had root canals , and crowns, and I found out it was abscessed and it had cracks in it, so I waited to find out when that tooth would be further examined, it was mostly in my bone, but from time to time the tooth lets me know , little did I know that my dentist was retiring, so that was the delay there.  I also had a filling pop off from a tooth pop off at the same visit, so she fixed that in July, after that , our director for our choir came up with an idea to have a virtual choir, so I learned how to navigate ZOOM, and that had its challenges, but we practiced two Christmas songs that will be shown in the services this weekend and next weekend, so I made a video or two videos , and they pushed me to my limit, however with endless prayer God got me through it.  As for the bank, they only operated their Drive-Thru , so the loan pursuit was put on hold , but the videos put me behind my holiday decorating, and I decided that this year, I would not take pictures, I have started working on making back ups on my other photo sharing site, in case I lost my account at Keep And Share, so those are all of the updates, before I can even think of looking into loans, I have to see what is in store for my tooth with the new dentist that replaced the one that retired , I have another appointment in two weeks, the day before my birthday , I am hoping to know more then .

For now , that is all of the updates, a lot of things up in the air, but I am trusting God , and just trying to go with the flow.

Until Next Time,

God Bless!

Re:Going In A New Direction 2017

Date Posted:05/24/2021 1:42 PMCopy HTML

I am so sorry that I haven't been able to share updates for a long time , this year has been busy again .  I hope all of you are having a better new year , happy 2021 .  I have so many updates to share, I am trying to think of them all .

I will go back to 2020 first.

Last fall in the month of December , I was praying and wondering what to do about the loan situation for school, and I strongly believe that a still small voice told me to just forget applying for loans , and just save up to pay the full tuition .  I told my mom and she was happier , so that was the plan, and we were going to shoot for this coming  fall.  So that is the school update.

About the videos my choir members submitted for the virtual Christmas Choir, I had an e-mail from our director at the time, and it explained that not everyone was going to be in the video .  I got myself prepared in case mine were one of the videos not selected.  The following day, I think it was December 10th , our video was shown and I was in the video , so I guess I should have prayed about the possibility of mine being up there.  I just felt badly for the ones that did not have their video shown, but Joy To The World /Raise A Hallelujah  , was a blessing to the people in our church and God was given the glory.  I am sorry that I can't share the videos , something about since we didn't have a solo submitted , they used the real track.  Does that make sense?

Then, on the Sunday before Christmas which was the 20th of December I was also in the video for Song Of Joy/Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.  I felt better about that one, but I was praying and missing not singing together on the platform for our church.  I really prefer singing in person with my fellow choir members and friends, but it was not possible, Chris told us during one of our ZOOM sessions, that one church decided to continue to have choir meet and sing, and people died from COVID-19 , so he wanted us to be safe .

The following Monday, as I mentioned before my dentist appointment came around, and while I was there getting my teeth cleaned, you know the routine, I discovered that the office I went to back in late last June never sent the report, so my dentist office got on it immediately , and they sent the report and X-rays I had done.  So that was the true delay, yes I was miffed , but I told her that I was a Christian so I forgave them, but still I was starting to have more pain, and I just wanted the tooth out .  Which this time my tooth #19, lower left moral was beyond saving , I found out that there were even more problems , the root was also cracked, the root canal had failed as well, the tooth had to go .  I was given a referral for an oral surgeon and then I went home, and shared the news with my mom.

The day after that, the 22nd of December my birthday , I called the office that I was referred to, and had an appointment set up for January 4th, 2021 , and she wished me a Happy Birthday,  I thanked her , and that night to celebrate my mom and I went to our church, to The Grove to see an event that was called Come To The Light , that ran from late November until the week of Christmas .  I can share this, Come To The Light 2020 https://www.LiveOaksChurch.org , it was a fantastic light show, the Grove was lit up, and the lights were in sync with the music, we got to sing our favorite Christmas carols , and most importantly hear and see the story of the birth of Jesus .  I hope you all check out the website and maybe plan a trip to come see it in 2021!  You can come in a golf cart or stay in your car, or you can come inside in case of rain, or a chilly night .  I told my Pastor on Christmas Eve for an encore presentation of Come To The Light , when a bad storm we had canceled the Christmas Eve Service , that it was awesome .

So that was 2020 for the most part .

In 2021, I did get some good news, our choir was going to get to meet again, but I could not attend the meeting with our new director, because my Consultation for January 4th had to be rescheduled due to our car having a cracked radiator hose.  I did try to get there on January 4th, but I abandoned the effort, when our car died on us three times in traffic.  Now I have sympathy and empathy for the folks that have their car suddenly break down.  So , I had to stay home and healthy for my January 21st Consultation.  Our car was fixed, and God was with us during the breakdowns , where he sent us a kind man , that helped mom start the car, he got us out of the intersection , and he looked at the problem, gave our car water , and we made it home.  Two days later our Chevy dealer repaired it, and yes it was a lot of money, because our warranty we purchased back in 2016 was up, so yes now we are having warranty talks .  On the 21st, I made it to my Consultation had more X-Rays only this machine was completely different, I had cotton rolls stuffed into my mouth, and I sat still in a chair while the top part of the machine whizzed around my head.  He also just touched it, when we met, I told them everything that was wrong with the tooth , he was like, "You poor thing, we have to end your suffering."   I agreed, and the appointment was set up for Monday, January 25th , 2021 .  I said "Hallelujah!"   The following Monday, I was put to sleep, woke up, and the tooth was gone, and yes this procedure was not cheap, so there was another expense .  After my tooth was pulled , I spent almost 2 and a half months bouncing back, I had to take an antibiotic , so that is why I wasn't coming here to share updates.

Then in March , on March 4th, 2021 I was able to return to Live Oaks Worship Choir , due to the vaccinations , even though my age group was not up yet, my mom had her first dose the month of March as well .  I wore my mask , took it off a couple of times to sing, and our debut for 2021 was Easter Sunday, so we spent the month of March practicing two songs, a new one for me that was called He Walked Out and another song I knew from 2019's Easter Sunday, Your Love Awakens Me .  You all can check out those videos, go to the URL I shared and look up April 4th, 2021 the services were outside, and it was a chilly morning so I had on my purple coat , Live Oaks Community Church also has a You Tube channel , and you can find the services there, or I will find the URL and put it in this post when I can.   I had to stay healthy for my return or follow up appointment on April 26th, and I was able to go, had another X-Ray, that I guess I moved on, but he saw the bone, and it had grown back.  So, then I was to come back on May10th, 2021 for an oral scan , so that he could make a guide , because of a close nerve.  I took the X-ray, and she took an instrument and went all over my mouth with it, it had a camera, the hardest part was keeping my bite closed while she tucked the instrument inside my lips .  I had three strikes against me I had a tiny mouth, tight cheeks, and tight lips .  She told me to relax my lips , how do you relax your lips?  Either way it got done, and tomorrow I go back at 9:45 AM to have the guide and implant put in.  I have to take two pills of another antibiotic an hour before my appointment , so please keep me in your thoughts and prayers , that I won't be too drowsy to drive , and for my mom when she drives me home after the procedure.   The next day I have my second vaccine appointment , and the Live Oaks Worship choir has the final rehearsal , and we sing on Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and I really want to be singing too.

I think that is all I have to share for now .

Until my next update ,

Enjoy Your Day!

God Bless!

Re:Going In A New Direction 2017

Date Posted:07/30/2021 10:43 PMCopy HTML

Hello again !  Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers , on the morning of May 26th, I took my two antibiotics before I left, I was able to drive , the oral surgery went well .  I had my implant put in, and I did pretty well after the surgery, had some pain, but we made it home safely, the recovery was faster , I also was able to go to my appointment the next day for my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine .  Not going to lie , the place I went to , was my pharmacy and they just had new needles arrive, and I was one of the first ones that day to have the new needle, and it poked me three times, before it finally retracted, so yes it hurt, but I did not want to take any chances with COVID 19 and I wanted to ditch my mask, which I know the orders to wear them again are resurfacing , which I had to have my implant done, I had to wear a mask at the dentist , and I know any doctor appointment will require one, so I wear them at times.

Good news, our car is still under the warranty my mom purchased back in 2016, so we will call back in November before December to have the warranty renewed .  I have been doing my best to keep up with the 2020 Olympics , so I am taking a break from posting about the video game and my aquarium story, however before the Olympics began , I found the You Tube page for my church , Live Oaks Community Church, so I wanted to share the URLS that I mentioned in my previous post.  I was also able to go to the final rehearsal and sing with Live Oaks Worship Choir Memorial Day Weekend, so again thank you so much for those of you who prayed for me and thought about me.  LOWC also sang this past weekend, if these URLS work out, when I can I will go back and get the URLS for this past weekend, we sang on Saturday, and twice on Sunday morning .

Wow!  I have a lot of updates to share, I left off in May?  Also, I want to take an opportunity to welcome a new member, I saw that they joined last year, and it was after my oral surgery, so I apologize for the late welcome, anyway I hope you enjoy your time here, MAXGM44!     I also attended a meeting for the former choir section leaders, I was the section leader for the Sopranos, and we discussed when we would like to sing again, among other ideas so we planned out the dates, and our church split into two separate campuses, so we talked about singing on a Saturday at the new location for Southern Oaks and sing again for the services on Sunday morning at Woodridge.  So as the summer went along, we resumed choir rehearsals, and I also watched the 2020 Olympic Games, then our choir met on July 24th, and we sang two songs, Old Church Choir and House of The Lord (There's Joy in The House of The Lord)    So, I found a video of the service from that night, or evening.  We were told that the sound had some issues, so I am warning you, the sound lags behind what is actually going on, but you all can see us sing, then hear what we are singing.  You know technical difficulties are bound to pop up everywhere.

Sorry the same thing happened to our sound at the Woodridge Campus, but we had fun and God got all of our praise so that is what matters right?

Here is the video for the 10:30 AM service on Sunday, July 25th, 2021.

Re:Going In A New Direction 2017

Date Posted:07/08/2022 8:05 PMCopy HTML

Hello again!  The weather prevented me from coming back until now.  Today is a pretty nice day, lower rain chances so I wanted to continue from where I left off.

August had a pretty rough start, on the day of the Closing Ceremony of the 2020 Summer Olympic Games, my mom suffered a bad fall in our garage. She had been having more falls than she used to, and she was really weak.  On this particular Sunday, she could not get back up, or help me in helping her get back up.  She tried, she scooted, she had me grab items, so she could pull herself back up, but she ended up laying down.  I told her that I had no choice I had to call 9-1-1, at first, she refused until she told me to call 9-1-1.  So, I did and the EMTs came, I gathered all of her medications for them, and answered their questions.  They asked her if she wanted to go to the hospital, and I told them "Yes."  She agreed, and I went into the house, grabbed her purse, grabbed my purse, told Sammy and Daisy where I was going.

I got into the car, and I had forgotten that two of our big deer had fallen on her, after her fall, and I kind of ran over them accidently, but then I stopped the car, and took some time to put them up in another area, then I saw the ambulance leave, so I went to the hospital, and I asked about her, and found out that she had just arrived, so I sat in the Emergency Room and watched the last day's events of the 2020 Summer Olympic Games , one was a water polo game, then the one I was not sure I wanted to see while I was waiting for word about my mom, was the rematch between U.S.A and Brazil in Women's Indoor Volleyball .  I was very happy when U.S.A won the Gold, then I even watched the second recap of it, until it was after 5PM, when someone came to me and told me they were admitting my mom, so I took care of that, and I was told that I could go home, and that they would call me when she was ready to come home, or to let me know if she was staying overnight, I went home, ate some food , tried to run an errand for mom, after her message on our machine.  Then, I stayed home, texted my sister, or called my sister to let her know what happened, and I watched the Closing Ceremony of the Summer Games, and then much later, I would say close to the next morning, I had a call letting me know she was going to be released.  So, I changed into some clothes, and picked my mom up, we went home, and I read her papers about what was going on.  She had a UTI, and she had it for so long, that it made her very weak, and that was why she had so many falls.  I took care of her, I paid the bills, went to the bank for statements, mailed the bills, went grocery shopping, and ran other errands.  That continued through most of August, we had a walker given to us, so that was a blessing, and she still uses the walker.

Now for some really good news, towards the end of August, I had an e-mail from Animal Behavior College, and they had a special for going back to school, the tuition was reduced until August 30th, so I told my mom about it, contacted the college to see if I could qualify for the reduced tuition, ABC told me I could! I went to the bank; mom and I had enough money to pay it in full. So, the next day, we made the transaction, so that I could write a check, and that very afternoon, I tried to go to the post office only to discover that they had closed, so I went to a UPS store, and they were open, but the weather was not cooperating at all, on the way there a thunderstorm blew up , so when I arrived the rain was really coming down, and I had to juggle my umbrella, keep my new key fob from getting wet, and I had my check for my tuition clutched to my chest, and I just braced myself against the wind as I walked into the UPS store .  When it was my turn, I discovered that I did not have enough money for Overnight Shipping, so I took the next best option, paid the price, and left hoping the check would make it to California on time.  I also found out in a phone conversation that my books and scrubs also had to be paid, so mom and I took care of that over the phone, the school also set up an e-mail account for my mom, and we both were sent agreements to digitally sign and initial, I was told those would come on the following Monday, but they actually came that weekend, I took care of my mom's for her, but I kind of forgot about mine, or forgot to check for mine, which I did on the following Monday night, but I still had a day , so I got mine signed , and I was officially enrolled in the Veterinary Assistant Program at Animal Behavior College !   In a separate post I will share more about my studies.  So, that was August in a nutshell, and next time hopefully soon, I will share about September of 2021.

Until Next Time!

Enjoy Your Weekend!   Pray for everyone involved in this week's shootings and for victory for the Ukraine!

God Bless!

Re:Going In A New Direction 2017

Hello again!  I hope that all of you have had a great week, mine was busy as usual.  Before I share about September, I have some news about a change in how my church wants to have its members and visitors view the service content.  They decided to go LIVE as in LIVE Streaming, so the archives will be gone if they were posted prior to last Sunday's services.  We all have one week to view the entire service, and You Tube will only show the sermons.

So, yes, I was a little bummed, but in the future, I will try to post a heads up for all of you, so you know when the Live Okas Worship Choir is singing, you all may still be able to catch last weekend on liveoakscommunitychurch.org , the church also has an app now, just look up Live Oaks Community Church on your Android or Apple Smart phones in your app stores , to download it.  It is FREE, and you all can see everything as it is happening.  One little tip though, make sure that you are looking up LOCC in The Villages, Florida so that you don't accidently get another church's app and LIVE feed there are some in Florida that have a similar name as mine.

I am still hoping that they will change their mind and keep the archives, but I hope I helped you all find a way to watch.  Now to continue what happened in 2021.  Mom was recovering from her UTI, we had to have a screen door company come out in latter August, ours had seen its better days, the track was not up to par anymore, so the screens got stuck when closing or opening.  It was just time for a new one, so we looked at some samples, and picked out our new garage screen door, that would not be able to be installed until November due to a shortage in the materials used to build the garage screen doors, because of COVID of course.  In September, she was still recovering, and I discovered the source of a leak we discovered on the lanai the year before, every time it rained, we had a puddle of water under our chase lounge, so one day while it was raining, I was out there and I felt a drop of water, looked up, and I saw water dripping down one of our skylights. I told mom. some of our furniture had minor water damage, so we had our home insurance come out to investigate our claim that I submitted.  The man suggested that we have our skylights repaired.  So, we spent some time looking for a company that would repair our skylights, and when that did not work out, because we were told that you really cannot repair them.  They could leak again overt time, so we found another company that would install new ones, after I called the original company that installed them, and pretty much installed our sunroom, and the number I found for them connected me to DISH!

So, they were out of business, and we were glad to have a guy come out and look at the skylights, well while that was going on, he found wind damage on our roof, some of the shingles were very loose, so we had another guy come out for a roof consultation, had some help from our bank, and we selected our new roof.  The new skylights and roof would be installed in November, to give us time to put away some fragile items and take down pictures, just basically anything that would fall and break.  Mom and I also had Safe Step Tubs come out and install new tubs for us, and I finally had my own functioning shower, that I use all of the time, even the hand wand can act like the shower head that my mom has in her shower, and I love the lights, my wiring got a little crossed though and they turn on with the Micro scrub function lol , but I love the jets, and most importantly for me I can easily get in and get out.  My old tub was one a person had to climb over, I only used it once, because the night I used it, I could not figure out how to get out of the thing, which was very embarrassing.  They also gave us the FREE blue tooth capability, and oh my, the jets are so relaxing, I have used them too.   However, my mom 's bathroom was left a mess, her tub was planned to go the same way her garden tub faced, and the guys that installed it ripped out our floor and her tile, so we were left with a slab of dirty cement with a hump in it, and just drywall where her tile used to be.  So, that was not cool   We also thought that mom was over her UTI, but we found out that she was not, during a visit to her diabetes specialist, we were told to go to Urgent Care, because my mom was very confused, and that was one of the symptoms, so what turned out to be on doctor visit, turned out to be me taking my mom to Quest for blood work, and Urgent Care, Urgent Care confirmed that the infection was still with my mom , she was given some prescriptions for more antibiotics, so it was a long road , and sadly she had more falls , we also had an X-Ray done to see why she was having so much back pain, but nothing was found  in the X-Ray,  also during that time, I watched the Paralympics on my phone mostly , I got Peacock and NBC Sports in order to see them , Sammy did not care, it was a little TV to him lol, Daisy also watched some , but she lost interest , it was really cool to get to see those very talented athletes that never gave up, or let things stand in their way.  I also studied and I know I still need to start a new post for my Veterinary Assistant Program's studies, and I will, I just have so many updates from 2021 to share, oh yes on the day after Labor Day, I had my last visit with Dr, Jaffal, he had been pleased and I was told during my July visit with my dentist that I could have my crown done in the upcoming months!  If I did not share this already, I went back to the dentist to have the goop to mold my teeth for the crown done, yuck I hated that stuff!

Then, my appointment was set up for the crown on November 1st, or 2nd.  So, that was September of 2021, and next time I will share about October and maybe begin my new school post, maybe, it depends.

Until Next Time!

Enjoy Your Weekend!

Stay Safe and Cool!

God Bless!

Pray For Ukraine, The U.S, and The World!
