He was with me and my family for 13 years. He outlived all of my other parakeets , and we loved him. He was so special , he loved to play with his favorite toy bell , listening to music , watching Figure Skating and Alexei on TV. He also loved having his tummy stroked, popping bubble gum bubbles, he also loved to hear the phone ring, he imitated the phone, and would even chirp into it when I held it up for him to talk into it. He may have loved the phone, but he did not like the cell phone, or the toy cell phone we bought for him play with. I think he did it one night in the summer before he passed away, just to make me happy, and he loved to make anyone who met him happy. He lives on in my memories, my heart , and my story My Alexei. After he died on October 22nd, 2004 I made a place for his memory on the old Once Upon A Dream. So, I wanted to share it on the new Once Upon A Dream too. Proud Fan Of Alexei Yagudin Always! His wife restored it and made it look beautiful with a yellow bird that reminds me of a gold finch . I thought it was a lovely way for Petie's cage to be used, I also liked the frog. The next pictures I will share will be of my other parakeet, I called Buddy the day I got him. I thought a curse came with the name Petie. My sister had a parakeet I adored, his name was Petie and he flew away, then others I named Petie died, so I tried really hard to name my new one something else. Well, a few days later we all decided to call him Petie lol. I also tried to find a bird of another color, but I just love blue and when I saw his little face I fell in love with him instantly. We bought him the afternoon of my other parakeet's death . I just could not stand seeing an empty place on my dresser where a bird's cage had always sat, so he came home with us with a brand new cage.
