My mom decided to change the placemats that were on the table , and she wanted a picture taken of the other ones .

   The first picture from the great room, or living room is of my mom's Christmas village. 
That year we had Marcy and Peppermint Patty portray children playing in the schoolyard.
We also added more of the snow , and we attempted to make some of it look real with the sprayed on snow.
It worked up until a point , but nothing ventured nothing gained right?

   Here is the first picture of our Christmas Tree that was taken on Christmas morning.
I always take a picture of our tree with the gifts unwrapped before we open them, after the traditional reading of the Nativity story and singing in front of the manger on the mantle.  The tree was all lit up too, and in 2012  this tree wanted to give us problems, half of the back side was not lit, all of the branches wanted to fall down.  Then, while we were taking it down the middle and bottom sections did not want to part.  I also came up with the idea to tie the sections , so that the branches would not fall down again on us.  We also had to use a Christmas Tree bag, instead of its box.
Do you think we are going to have to go to a 6.5, or 6 and a 1/2?  I hope not, we have tall ceilings.  You all should have seen our first Christmas Tree it was skinny and short , that is why we went to a 9ft when dad was still with us. Then, we had to downsize that over the years.  I will figure out what is going on with those lights, it will work.

  Here is a close up of another very special tradition around Christmastime, a carousel that I helped my dad pick out when I was much younger.   This carousel always goes under our Christmas Tree, and I always place it there and gently put it up every year.   The horses light up, and it plays music while they go up and down, and they each have bell sounds that go with the music.
