My Epic Mickey journey began in November of 2011 during the week of Thanksgiving. I was with my family in Indiana and I played the beginning of this game.  Then, I was really happy when I got it for Christmas during our time with them before we left.  I was super excited about playing the game again and I started playing it the next night when I was home in Florida.
The first part of my journey was called, Dark Beauty Castle and it all started out with me playing Mickey.

Mickey had to destroy this terrible mean machine , it was huge, but I had defeated it before and I knew that I could do it again.  I had Mickey kick the tar out of the four console controls that the evil mad doctor used to operate it.Then, I grabbed a Bronze Pin .  I also met Gremlin Gus , and after the machine was destroyed once and for all, I explored the area for goodies, before I moved on to the next part.
Here is the URL for a very good and helpful Walkthrough I use now : http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... uty_Castle
It will share more about what I did not cover in my own journey.

The next step in my gaming journey took me Dark Beauty Castle Utilidor III.Where I spent some time in a Tutorial that showed me how to use my paint and my thinner.I held the "B" button when I wanted to practice painting something, or I used my "Z" button toexplore spraying thinner, and I practiced these new skills for Mickey by painting a gear that was
not visible, and to thin out the paint on a frame to open a door.  I was proud of myself for remembering what my sister's boyfriend showed me while I was at their house, and I thinned out the frame .Then, after the frame was thinned out and the door fell.  Then, I painted the gear again to make the door appear again.I had a lot of fun just spraying paint on the walls lol.
Here is the URL:http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... ilidor_III

After that Mickey and I moved on Dark Beauty Castle Entrance , where we faced our first enemies called,
Seers.  I did not waste any time in making them my friends, because that really does not last too long.I just thinned them out, then Mickey walked around and explored the Dark Beauty Castle, it was really pretty.I enjoyed restoring the castle's beauty, and I also looked around for more goodies, like red tickets , and maybe some paint and thinner before we both went through the projector screen.

Here is the URL:http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... e_Entrance
Once Mickey came through the other side to the next area that was called, Mickey and The Beanstalk. In this part I spent time as Mickey collecting more red tickets , as he climbed , jumped up on beds, and soared to the clouds.  I made sure Mickey had cleaned out the area and collected the film reel , before he went through the easel.
Here is the URL:http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... _Beanstalk

The next area was new to me, I had never played it.  It was called, Gremlin Villiage Slalom.I had Gus come along with me so I was brave, and he told Mickey along with another gremlin that Mickey had a mission to fix the pipes, there were four of them , so I fixed them by painting or thinning.  I also had Mickey repair the large gaps in the floor ,  once Mickey fixed the four pipes on the other side, he had to deal with a wooden wheel.  I discovered that it was best for Mickey when I painted the wooden planks or platforms, then it was a challenge to get Mickey to jump on one of them.  Once I did though, he jumped off when I tried to get him to jump up to the next one, and there were these areas with extra lives and other things Mickey needed to survive this wheel .  Once I got Mickey to stand on the platform and even jump up to the next side , I could not find where he was supposed to jump off !  So, after Mickey and I died more times than I care to admit I decided for Mickey's sake that it was time to call it a day and try again another time.

I did continue my journey one day last summer and I will share how it all went as soon as I can.

Until Then,Keep On Playing !

As  I mentioned before my journey through Epic Mickey continued one summer day last year.
Mickey and I had to go back to the slalmom and he had to repair the pipes again, but I did not mind.
I actually found some areas I did not see last time, so it was all good.  Then, we came up to the wheel again, and  I painted each wooden paddle before Mickey even took the leap towards them.  Then, Mickey fell off, but this time he got back on and then he moved up another step, and I finally saw the other room on the other side.

He jumped off and I had to do some fancy moves really quickly in order to keep him alive.  He lived, and
we ventured on into the next area, where there were surpisingly more pipes to patch up.
I was not really surprised though, and Mickey also had to take out some Spatter enemies, he did it with his
trusty paint thinner.  After a few more repairs we were given access to the Tunnels, and at the end of the two doors opened, and we went into what appeared an old, run down carnival .

The minute Mickey entered into the new area he had to take out more bad guys and he rescued another gremlin.  Then, that gremlin needed our help for fixing up the place, he gave Mickey a clue about a certain tea cup that had a wrench at the bottom of it.  I had Mickey paint the cups, maybe I should have left them unpainted, and poor Mickey was even killed by the tea cups!  So, I had him move fast, and he looked high and low , and painted some other things along the way, but I could not find that wrench .

So, I had Mickey hop on a moving boat and I left the Ticket Booth behind.
Here is the URL:http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... cket_Booth
After Mickey reparied some doors we entered the Jungle Boat ride, and this part did not take anytime at all to annoy me.  I wished that I could go back to the Ticket Booth, but I couldn't because that mission expired , there was no going back.  So, I stopped playing the game and I looked up a walkthrough or guide for Epic Mickey and I found out how to find the wrench a little too late, so that is another reason I want to play the game again after I finish it .

Here is the URL:  http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... _Boat_Ride
Stay tuned to see if Mickey and I will ever survive the Jungle Boat Ride.
Keep On Playing!

Hello again !  It has been a long time since I posted the updates for Mickey's progress through Epic Mickey.  I even had to read the old posts to see where I left off.  Tonight, I have some time to share how I got Mickey on the boat to getting out of the Jungle Boat Ride, I was sincerely stuck, and all Mickey could accomplish was falling into the raging rivers of thinner, and dying.  Which led me to being extremely frustrated, and I found a guidethe one I have been sharing .  The guide told me to ride the boat all the way to the swirling whirlpool, and I seriouslyquestioned that, but there was a platform with a giraffe and another gremlin.

So, it took Mickey awhile to jump onto the moving boats .  This was the second part of the boat ride actually, the first part I did not mind too much.I had to be careful with Mickey 's jumps , but all he had to do was to end the traffic jam that another closed door wascausing.  So, I went about that task, in two ways, the first thing I did was thin out the pipes .

Then, I painted the heads back onto the hippos , and that stopped the spewing thinner before the door opened and I completed my quest to fix the door.  YAY!  That was a breeze, it was the second part that killed Mickey too many times to count.  However, after I walked away from the game, I tried it again and that late summer or early fall I finally made it to the platform, and  I had Mickey free one of the four gremlins, and he was grateful, his name is in the guide, I have met a lot of gremlins , oh I remember his name was Pinza.  I think that was it, I also had Mickey paint some trees that he climbed and jumped on , before he came to a bridge, where he thinned out a Sweeper. They look like mean brooms made of the blob, and they are mean.  I found a chest after he painted the missing partsof the bridge , and Mickey restored his health and I found some E-Tickets.

After he jumped over to another platform, he freed another gremlin, then he bravely made another jump to free another one.  I tried to go for the fourth, but it was impossible, Mickey just fell and died depending which way he fell.  So, I said, "I am sorry."Before Mickey hightailed over to a bigger platform, and his new gremlin friends fixed these other platforms,so the mean guys fell into the thinner, and I had to spin one gear to open the entrance to the Asia Boat Ride .
I don't have time to continue tonight, so I will share the link to the guide so you all can have a sneak peek .

Until Monday!Keep On Playing!

I am back !  I am also ready to tell the next chapter in my epic story with Mickey and his epic journey through Wasteland .After Mickey spun the last valve with his spin attack, another door opened.  But, that was only the beginning.  Because, after that doorwas opened, Gremlin Gus told Mickey about a challenge he had to do in order to open the next door.  This was a timed challenge ,it involved a lot of steam that could have killed Mickey, and three more valves that he had to spin in a particular order to shut off the steam.

So, I did not waste any time and I am happy to say that I completed the challenge, or the next quest.
Once, the steam was shut off Mickey met small Pete, and small Pete had  a problem.  He was missing the log to his ship , and he wanted Mickey to find it in the gremlin's villiage, but before Mickey and I could do that we had to find our way off of the Asia Boat Ride. After small Pete left, the doors opened and I believe Mickey had his first encounter with the film Steamboat Willie.  I took my time, having Mickey jump, while he grabbed E-tickets, health (which he needed), and I tried several times to get the second film reel , but it was just too hard.

It also wore out my patience .  So, I went into the next land of boats, where my first task was of course to save another gremlin.By taking out enimies that looked oriental.  They were cute, but their thinner was not, so I used half paint and half thinner, before switching completely over to thinner and Mickey's spin attacks.  Once the bad dudes were gone, the gremlin thanked me and Mickey, and he offered to fix the boats for us.

I agreed to that, and the boats were fixed with the price of a certain kind of amount of E-tickets.  So, my new gremlin friend fixed the boats.  In turn Mickey repaired a bridge and after he went over it, his next quest was to paint the gears that would raise the dragon .I had Mickey do that, and he was rewarded by finding a gold pin in a chest.  I abandoned his efforts in the other boat ride, one was too high and I could not figure out how to get him up there.  Then the second pin was surrounded by enemies on a platform that ended up sliding in ,so that took that chance with it.

If I see one Mickey can reach and I know he will not risk his life by falling into the thinner below, I go for it.  This one was among a gear that I thinned out , so he was safe.  After that exciting moment, I got lost .  I am not kidding , Mickey was spinning his wheels and I had no clue what to do next. He was just going around and around to the same areas , and at one point Mickey had another timed challenge this time it involved fans.  These fans had spinning blades, that Mickey had to keep thinning out, and he also had to run and jump from one area to the next using his spin attack to turn some more valves .  I kept on falling into that, while I tried for another chest, so I decided to look for a different walkthrough , one that had a video so I could not only read what to do, but I could see what to do as well.  While I did that another year went by before I tried again .

Tomorrow, I will share more about getting off the boat in Asia , this was the year I finally did it, so I just might post about this year's success.

Until Then!Keep On Playing!

Hello again, sorry this post is late, but I was staying away from the computer while some thunderstorms were deciding whether or not to hit.So, I am happy to have this chance tonight to post some more.  Because the next few days are going to be stormy.

Now I will continue where I left off, which was the point where I got so lost, until I found this amazing walkthrough. It was a video of a person playing the game right along with the other players.  His name is Rob and he works forvideogame bloggers.  He really has my dream job, I would love to play the game and share how to win the gamewith other players that are a little stuck.  Thanks to Rob, this past December and January I finally made it through the AsiaBoat Ride.  He also showed me how to get to the Bronze Pin in the chest, with out falling into the holes and downinto the fans.  The instructions that I read made more sense, and most importantly Mickey had direction.

After Mickey grabbed the bronze pin, he made his way back over to a moving boat, where he went to a platform .This platform was the same one where the gears were, and there was a boat that he jumped onto.  After thatI carefully moved him to the end where he leaped onto the dragon.  Yes, I still died, but I got back right on the dragonbefore Mickey tiptoed across and jumped down to another stage .  Gremlin Gus let him know he made it to the exit, and another quest was completed.  However, before I could celebrate, Mickey had to jump onto a cloud and thenhit a lever by jumping on it.

This took me several times , but I kept on trying, and he finally stayed on the cloud, jumped to the ledge, pushed down the lever and opened the exit.  After that moment, I jumped up and downand I even told my mom .  I was beyond happy!  But, shortly after that I had to shut down because I heard thunder.

Watch the videos here : http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2010/1 ... htm#quest4 The walkthrough shows every moment of Epic Mickey from the beginning to the end!  Also enjoy Rob's banter he is really funny.
Until After The Storms!Keep On Playing!

7-2-15

I am back to hopefully share the next step in our journey .  Before, I went to the The World Of Gremlins , I had another screen that Mickey had to jump through.  This one continued the Steamboat Willie series and I had to keep Mickey away from chickens that poked their heads out to bite him. He was bit a couple of times, and he fell off the cow that he had to ride a bunch of times.  After trying really hard to get him to jump onto the platform from the moving boxes, and having him fall, I finally abandoned the efforts.  Once, I hit the Yes when I was asked if I was ready to go to The World Of Gremlins, he jumped through and I was just happy that he was alive.

After Mickey's arrivial he was told about the accident involving Pete's boat, he crashed it and disaster struck.  The Gremlins were not very happy with him, so it was Mickey's mission to find the log on Pete's ship.  However, he was also given his next duty to repair and patch things up.  So, I had Mickey go around this huge circle, where he patched up pipes on every side with paint. He also used his spin attack to get the gear spinning again and that made the entire platform move around.

I also had Mickey restore his health, visit the houses, and Mickey helped our poor Gus by stopping the thinner that was spraying on his house. It had completely wiped it out, so Mickey painted the pipe and it stopped the thinner.  He also painted Gus's house, and was rewarded with either a Bronze Pin, or extra E-tickets , either way Mickey cleaned up.  When he repaired the platform earlier he also repaired the rides, and he had to use those rides to get to the next places.  First of all, I had a tough time keeping Mikey on the flying planes, and when I had that accomplished I could not see the ledge !  There was a ledge where Pete's boat was perched on top of a waterfall made of thinner.

So, I turned to my trusty guides , I went to the one with instructions and pictures first.  That one got Mickey up on the ledge, and over to the boat, where I had Mickey creep to a crawl, because I was unsure of what could make him fall.  According to my guide the log was in a chest at the back of Pete's boat , where I had to spin a gear and thin out some wooden planks.  Once Mickey had the log, he found some other goodies, before he made it safely back down from the boat.  I also wanted some extra content, so I tried to figure this one machine I call the "Mickey Masher."  If one door did not kill Mickey , it was the other door lol .

I did eventually figure out the pattern and I had Mickey run into the room, where he obtained the extra content .  Mickey also had one of the gremlins ,ask if he would like to trade him the ship's log for a pin.  The ship log did not belong to Mickey, and I was raised not to give away what is not mine to give away.  I had Mickey say No, and he went to another gremlin , can't think of his name right now but you all will see his name in the video walkthrough.  He read the log and saw that it was an accident and that believe it or not Pete was sorry.

After he read it, he said that he would tell the others and Gus gave Mickey two more Guardians , tints or the blue ones, and they help Mickeymake friends of the unfriendly kind.  I was happy that I did the right thing , and then Mickey had to jump onto the flying carpets in order to jump over to the next ledge.  There were two, after dying trying to find the steps up to the windmill several times, and falling down onto gears that went absolutely no where, I made the ride again and leaped onto the cliff for the tower.  Once Mickey jumped through the screen, I went into the toon with the clock, and I did my best to get Mickey up and up and out, I almost had another flim reel, but shortly after that he died and I had to start all over, so I shot for the next projector screen that took Mickey out and on top of the tower.

Where a door opened, and Mickey filled a pump with paint and therefore he repaired the tower.  YAY!   After that he was rewarded with a gold E-Tickets , so I grabbed that and he jumped into the next screen Steamboat Willie III.  Mickey was also on his way to meet and fight his first boss the crazy Clocktower, after Mickey had one more boat ride in Europe

I will share about those adventures very soon, after more rain moves through. In the meantime, enjoy watching the video walkthrough and seeing what Rob did.http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2010/1 ... -wii.htm/2

Hello again !  The rain has quit for now, so I thought it would be a great time to continue my journey with Mickey.Last time I shared about my progress with Mickey in the World Of Gremlins .  Now, I am ready to take you all with me through The European Boatride .   Well, I won't begin this story with a lie, I got lost pretty quickly after I got Mickey across some boats, and Mickey was killed a time or two by the Splatters that were dressed like the dolls in the ride at Disney .

But, Gremlin Gus gave me a clue when he talked about a tower being very unsturdy , and how it could topple over with a sneeze. I also figured out how to deal with those so called dolls ,  and that discovery also taught me thatthe floor could be thinned out and harm Mickey along with the dolls and other bad guys.
So, I was careful, and once I knocked down the tower, and Mickey crossed over the bridge it made,I had some more battling to do .

After the bad guys were gone, or turned into Mickey's friends I was not sure what to do next, and I called it quits.  I also watched Rob's video to see how he handled things, and he got lost too.  Which made things and Mickey go really fast, because he was fast forwarding that part.  Just thought I would share that with you all for when you watch the video. Anyway, Rob helped me understand the next step and it was a pretty annoying step too. There were these wheels with gears, and Mickey had to thin them out to stop them,
and paint them to get them just in the right position before he could jump on them.

I learned fairly quickly that the floor would also become thinned out, died many times , but dying is how I learn.  See, I find out my mistakes and I try my very best to not repeat them.  After several tries, yeah we will leave it at several I finally got him over to the cloud.  Then, yes I could not keep Mickey on the cloud to save my life, but then he did stay.  Once he stayed the cloud floated over to another famous tower replica in France.Do you think Mickey made the jump on the first try?  Well you were so kind if you did, nope Mickey died, so I did repeat every step more times than I care to recall.  Still it was a learning process, and I did not give up.If I quit for the day , I was back at it as soon I could get back to it.  He did finally get onto the tower, and I paintedsome of the missing details in .  After the tower, there were more clouds , and yes Mickey fell off them, and yes I was like
.   I also yelled at Mickey, I know that was probably pretty pointless but it got my frustration out . I also praised Mickey when he finally made onto all of the clouds , before I was not too happy when he died
on the platform .  Because, of an evil broom looking character that spit thinner at him.  But, I thinned him out one timeand befriended him the other times.  Either way he was out of my hair and Mickey's way, I did find a pin , and of courseI collected all of the goodies and tickets along the way.
Before Mickey could leave, he had to deal with more of the paint/thin gears , and I was elated when I finally made it off of those!
This was me  and  along with some then there was some as well.  You all will see all of the details in the video walkthrough .  I was trying to speed things along .  Here is the URL :

Next time, I will share how things went for me and Mickey Inside the Colloseum .  Until Then,Keep On Playing !

Hello again!  I am sorry it has taken so long for me to get back here, after my sister's wedding my computer started showing signs that it was going to go kaput.  I hope I spelled that right, and I took it over to Office Depot, and sure enough the hard drive was crashing . So, I thought my options over and decided getting a new one would be the best.  I waited a couple of days to get my computer, and found out the old data was completely gone .  It had crashed on them while trying to transfer, I only lost documents and some pictures that were not in my Photobucket account, but it saved most of the important pictures.

I also lost my Favorites, but all of my e-mails were waiting for me. So, I praised the Lord and counted my blessings.  I hope that my visitors had a wonderful and Merry Christmas, and that 2016 will be a brighter year for all of us.  I have been praying for the people in Paris, Africa , people who were shot, California , and for some of my former neighboring states in the Mid-West that have had devastating tornadoes and floods.  I pray that we all have more peace in 2016.

Alright, I am ready to continue from where I left off, which was the Clock Tower Boss .  I watched how Rob my videoblogger guide handled it.  He tried paint, and that just seemed to make the arm shrivel up for a little bit.  Thinner had better results, and sometimes thinner is the only way Mickey can live on for another day.  Mickey still died, the clock's huge arms still crushed him.  But, I was patient and when it became too much for me I simply stopped and tried again the following week.  I recall the victorious moment that happened on the Wednesday after Memorial Day .  I was determined to get through the boss level, I really wanted to get to Mean Street and Os Town .

Those places looked like a lot of fun , and I could not wait to have some time to explore and not have to fight .  So, I just took things as they came .  I did not even hesitate on my choice of weapon, it was thinner all of the way.  I also took some time to get my aim right, so that Mickey was hitting the mechanical arms and not the air, or surrounding décor lol.  Once I got Mickey to aim for the red target, things improved, oh Mickey took his hits, and I kept his health up as much as I could , but this was one of the tougher fights so yes Mickey died.

But I did not stop, I just picked up where he left off and he shot out more thinner, and I had him jump out of the way more too. I was learning as I went along.  I was so happy when the gears and other pieces came off one of the arms,  it was great to have that arm out of the way.  I quickly went to work on the other arm after several tries, and another thing that really helped me was muting the music.  It was the tune to It's A Small World , only it was played differently .  You all will hear it when I share the video URL , Rob kept it playing.

Then the final blow to the clock finally came when Mickey thinned out all of the fingers , and the clock smashed them to pieces.  I was elated, and I turned up the sound to hear him say, "I don't feel so good."  It was along those lines, and his face fell into the thinner pool, along with what was left of his arms fell down.  One of the funnier moments was when the arm on the left side looked for the clock's face, which I did not even notice that happened until I refreshed my memory with Rob's experience.
After the fight , Mickey had completed two quests, the one at the beginning which was simply for reaching the Clock Tower.

The second one was I bet you guessed that it was for defeating the clock tower , called "Unwind the Clock."  He certainly came unwound no doubt about that.  Gus also came along and informed Mickey that he got a thinner upgrade , so Mickey happily but a little cautiously hopped across the broken pieces to reach the projector that was waiting inside the clock's open frame.  Once he jumped through the screen , he was in Os Town and I was excitedly telling my mom that I made it to Mean Street .
One of the Quests there was to repair or power up the Os Town Projectors.  Now, I have to watch Rob's video for Mean Street, because I am now in Tomorrow City, and Mickey is doing his best to befriend Petetronic.  But, that story is for another day.

Until next time enjoy these two videos created by Rob at videogamebloggers.com .

Hello!  I hope you all are having a wonderful day .  I have some time before I have to go for the weekend to continue my tales from my Epic Mickey Journey.   Last time I posted about Mickey 's fight with the clock tower, and then how I had to refresh my memory for what happened after that.  Well, I have watched Rob's video walkthrough/guide a couple of times, and I wrote down notes.  So, now I can share the next chapter.  Which was Quest 7:  Mean Streets.  As I mentioned before I was really excited about this section of the game.

The main goal was for Mickey to help Gremlin Markus , who made an appearance after the last boss battle, to power up a machine that would restore the main power to the projectors that Mickey would use for most of the rest of the game.  The first official quest was called, "Ostown  Projectors."  Gus also gave Mickey a little tour and background info about Mean Streets.  It was a place created by Oswald the bunny for the long lost, and forgotten characters that they call home.  It was interesting, and the first character Mickey and I met during our stroll was Big Bad Pete.

Then, Mickey was told to visit Horace HorseCollar  , which I did remember from old Disney cartoons even though Mickey did not remember him at all.  Anyway, Mickey had to find two gears in order to give to Gremlin Markus for the machine.  So, Mickey went into the Detective Agency.  Horace introduced himself and wanted to know if Mickey remembered him, like I said.  Then, Horace needed his book back and thus Mickey had another quest to complete that was called, "Find Horace's Book"  He told Mickey that he loaned it to Casey who was the shopkeeper at the Emporium .

So, Gus suggested to Mickey to use his map, and it was very helpful. I found the Emporium, and from there Mickey had to go to the Ice Cream Parlor to talk to Paulie, who also borrowed the book.  So, I used the map again, and found Paulie .  Paulie gave Mickey the book , and Mickey returned it to Horace and we had our first gear that Horace gave to us.

He also gave Mickey a pin , and you all can see it in Rob's video guide .   Mickey gave Gremlin Markus the first gear and Markus gave him a suggestion on how to find or get the next gear.

I will continue this after dinner.

Keep On Playing !

4-29-16 Continued

imageproxyhi.gif  Hello again !   I am going to try to continue and finish the stroll down Mean Streets.  I left off mentioning that Mickey had the second gear to find.  Well, Mickey returned to Big Bad Pete and Big Bad Pete told him about another character named Gilda.  She had been bragging about winning a race and how Pete gave her the gear for a prize.  So, Mickey met Gilda and she told him that he had to beat her time and she would give him the gear.  This was not a hard race, Mickey followed a guardian around while the time ran down.  I had a pretty good time and she was impressed, so Mickey got the gear.

After Mickey got the gear, he returned to Gremlin Markus who then explained that the machine could not run without power sparks.   I was just happy to have a breather so I did not mind, and it was the only way I was going to get Mickey to Os  Town .  So, the quest was updated, and the first place Mickey visited was Casey's Emporium.  Where Casey told Mickey a sad tale about being locked out of his backroom, where I think the power spark was.

Casey told Mickey to look around the front of Paulie's Ice Cream Parlor .  Well, I did and I just could not find his key, neither could Rob so I did not feel so bad about it.  So, from watching Rob, I knew the next place to try, a new place on Mean Streets.  It was new to me anyway, and Mickey met Laralee at the Museum .  She had a power spark on display and wanted something to trade for it.  She told Mickey to go see the Usher , and the Usher had Hook's cutlass and he also gave Mickey another Quest , "Collect Film Reels."  So, I understood why the film reels were so important and I worked extra hard to obtain them.

Mickey was also given a "Swashbuckler Pin."  Mickey gave Hook's cutlass to Laralee and she gave him his first power spark.  Mickey then returned to Gremlin Markus, and he was happy.   He got the machine to run in order for the first Projector Screen on Mean Street to run.  He also gave Mickey some extra E-Tickets .  Then, Mickey went up to the movie screen and Gus asked us if we wanted to go to Os Town .  I clicked A for "Yes," before Mickey traveled through the world of an old cartoon called, "Thru The Mirror."  Mickey collected a lot of E-tickets, and ticked off the King of Hearts for dancing with the Queen of Hearts, and I tried really hard to get the film reel, but I couldn't get it on the first trip.

Next time I will share about Mickey's quests in Os Town !

Until Then!

imageproxyhi.gif   Hello again !  Thank you so much for coming and visiting Once Upon A Dream .  I just finished watching the video guide by Rob for Ostown .   So, I am ready to continue from where I left off.  After I had Mickey jump through the projector screen we arrived in Ostown. Which was again created by Oswald to provide more homes for the forgotten characters of Disney's past .  Clarabelle the cow was one of the first characters that Mickey saw.  In the video you will see her showing Mickey pictures of films that she was in with him.  But, Mickey did not remember her, but she welcomed him with open arms.  She was the leader of the welcome wagon .  Mickey also met Moody, and he was down because his house had been stripped of paint.

Clarabelle also told Mickey about a noise coming from the top of the Gag Factory and how there used to be a handy man of a gremlin fixing things, but he had vanished.  So, Mickey and I talked to Mickey and had our first Quest , called quite simply "Paint Moddy's House."  That was all I needed to know, and Mickey wasted no time in painting Moody's house and making it blue for him again.   Mickey also another Quest called, "Noisy Safe."  After Moody was happy to have his house back to blue, he recalled the combination to the safe once Mickey returned to him after the paint job.

He gave Mickey the combination, 7-5-2 and Mickey climbed up after a jumping mailbox helped him hop to the top of the Gag Factory , before it went to a cut scene showing him climbing onto the ledge, using the combination, and rescuing a gremlin.  This gremlin's name was Gremlin Prescott .  After he was out of the safe he told Mickey that Mickey's phone put him in there when he was tinkering with it.
So, that ended the "Noisy Safe" quest , and updated yet another Quest, "Bridge Repair."

Gus hinted to Mickey that he should go see his house, and Prescott needed his wrench back , so I got Mickey over to his house.  Once inside, Mickey's phone told Mickey to find three more telephone boxes and then the phone would give Mickey Prescott's wrench.  Well, I will confess as Rob did I could not find all of the boxes for the phone.  So, when Prescott asked if he could go into the house and get his wrench , I said "Yes."  Once that happened I will just say that Rob was right, the phone lost his little life.  However, Prescott had his wrench and Mickey had a future gear he would need.

But, most importantly, Prescott repaired the bridge and completed the Quest "Bridge Repair" , for me and Mickey could continue his journey to his next destination the least of my favorites by the way, Mickey Junk Mountain.   After going across the bridge and into the next film projector that I did not catch the name of.  But, it had houses and a tractor, or something else like it. You all can see that and peek ahead if you want.  If you go here: http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2010/1 ... -wii.htm/2

Until I climb Mickey Junk Mountain , enjoy watching Rob's adventures!

imageproxyhi.gif  Hello again ! Thank you for visiting Once Upon A Dream!  I am keeping my eyes on Tropical Storm Hermine and I am praying for everyone who is dealing with the heavy rains and flooding in Tampa right now.  Hermine is going to be a Cat 1 Hurricane when it makes landfall north of me later on and early tomorrow morning.  Please keep Florida in your thoughts and prayers, as well as the other states in her path .

While things are on the calm side in my neck of the woods, I wanted to post the next part in my journey with Mickey. The projector screen I mentioned last time is actually called, Mickey's Steamroller , and it connects OsTown to Mickey Junk Mountain. I was in this area last year during the summer, and after Mickey's Steamroller , Mickey jumped out to the first area of Mickey Junk Mountain, called The Heaps.  The main goal or Quest in this area was to help a character that literally was a card named Decker.

Mickey had to help him power up the crane by finding and powering up three televisions.  Mickey also was introduced to Oswald's kids, The Bunny Children, I just kept on shaking them off and they also watched the televisions which was cute I must admit.  So, the exit was opened, I tried to grab all of the goodies that I could before I had Mickey jump into the next projector screen, and he climbed his way up the mountain in Alpine Climbers.

Here is are some URLs for more details about Mickey's Steamroller and The Heaps:

You all can also watch what Rob did if you click on the URL in my last post, all of the upcoming videos are on the same page, until it goes to a new page.  I recently discovered that and I felt silly for posting the same URL over and over.
I will try to continue Mickeyjunk Mountain this evening if weather is still permitting.
Until Then!

  9-1-16 Continued

swissmiss.gif   Right now there is some wind and light rain, so I think I can continue until I feel I will or better shut down my pc.  Here is the URL for more details about the Alpine Climbers -Part 1 .  It will show all of you how I had to have Mickey jump, and have the right timing.  I believe in my first time visiting, I was not successful in getting the film reel. http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... s_-_Part_1
I am kind of on a fast track tonight so after the projector level, I had my first time visiting The Piles .

Mickey was once again introduced to a new enemy, the Hoppers.  They looked like mechanical birds, they were not very bright and Mickey quickly took care of them by spraying thinner on them, and using his spin attacks once the shells or armor were thinned away.  He did get health from them so that was a nice bonus, once all of the Hoppers were gone, Mickey ascended up the mountain in an area with a big hole.  Mickey managed to find the hole, and I had to keep revisiting this stage after he died several times.  However, I finally managed to avoid the hole, and he painted in the neck of a guitar to cross over a wide area.

After that, I had Mickey hop up onto some platforms that looked like blocks, or boxes, once he mastered that, because yes he fell off the platforms, and I had to start over from the climb.  Once he hopped up all of the boxes, I saw a spout that was spewing thinner, and Mickey painted in a balloon to stop the thinner long enough for him to get away from the thinner.  Once Mickey was safely at the top , Gus filled us in about the Spladoosh monsters.

They were like purple colored blobs that enjoyed snoozing, and got explosively mad if woken up.  Mickey crept his way quietly towards a machine that was a pump.  So, I used paint to fill the pump, and Mickey proceeded to his left, where there was an assembly line of sorts with thinner gas, but I had a terrible time just jumping onto the thing.  Don't ask me how but Mickey found a way to fall through the moving belt.  I was perplexed to say the least, but then he did make it onto the belt, where we tried our best to avoid the gas, but he got hit and died.  If that was not frustrating enough, my game freezing on me on every time certainly was.

I tried more times then once to get Mickey to the next area, but he froze every time.  I thought that I was going to have to go buy a new game , I also found instructions on a helpful website for cleaning the game.  So, I did that, and it still froze, which  left me with no choice but to see if I could start a new game.
I was happy when the game played normally, and I made some discoveries that I did not find in my first game, but I also upset the gremlins when I broke the door in the first stage of the game.  So, I deleted it and started over again to make up for that mistake.

In my third new game, I found the wrench and completed that stage and Quest, I also found a way to stay high and dry in the Jungle Boat Ride, I breezed through the rest of the boat rides , the Clock Tower boss was much shorter, I think I found Casey's lost key, I met and freed more gremlins .  At some point, I did return to my original game and Mickey did make it off the assembly line ! You all can see what that was like in Rob's video guide, he went that way too, and the people at IGN went the thinner way and you can read that here:
 http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... _The_Piles

At the end of The Piles, Mickey came to this room and freed a gremlin that helped him put in a code and the claws stopped and Mickey jumped across them, there was some extra content, I might have gotten it , and Mickey got a Silver Pin before he jumped through the next projector screen .

Stay Tuned!

little sun.gif  Then Mickey traveled through Alpine Climbers -Part 2, where he also had to do a lot of timed jumps and avoid rocks and explosive kegs.
Here is the URL : http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... s_-_Part_2

I think he was able to grab the film reel, before he exited out to the next part of Mickeyjunk Mountain.
The part was called, Mt. Osmore Slopes and there was another card named Jack Trade , he asked Mickey for some help with the door.  There were two ways, Mickey could either solve a puzzle, or defeat the numerous enemies. I think I chose for Mickey to paint all of the enemies to make them friendly.  Jack Trade opened the door for me and Mickey.

I tried to find a way to get to Gilda's Axe but I could not figure out how to get Mickey up there with out dying, so we just headed through the opened doors or gates where our next challenge awaited us.

I better stop here for the night , I will try to continue Mickeyjunk Mountain next week, if the weather is better tomorrow I will try , but next week for sure.

little sun.gif Hello again !  I finally made it back here , thank you for your thoughts and prayers, now everyone is cleaning up , trying to dry out, and get the power back on .  I was blessed our power flickered a few times, but we did not lose it this time.  I am still keeping everyone from here all up and down the east coast in my prayers.  I had to let the rain move out, and I also had to replace some flowers we lost from them staying on our lanai through out the entire storm and periods of heavy rains.  But, I am here now and hopefully I can get Mickey off of Mickeyjunk Mountain.

Once he passed through the doors, he had to climb up carpeting that went up and up and up , and he climbed.  At one point in my original game he fell, because it became so dark I could not see the missing path that he had to paint in.  So, Mickey made this climb more times than I can remember, but he finally made it to the top where he was stopped by some wise guys. Well they were cards . One card in particular had to be impressed in order for Mickey to meet with Oswald .  Which was the entire point of this trip, so the card told him about Oswald's Three Challenges, a test for Mickey to pass.

Before Mickey jumped through the first projector screen, he was told that he had better be ready to "have his ticket punched."  Then, we bravely jumped into the first test or challenge. The challenge was called, "Trolley Troubles."  Mickey had entered into Oswald's world, and I recalled from watching Rob's video that Mickey wanted to jump onto the trolley's roof and hold on for his dear little life.  I tried to collect e-tickets and at times that made him fall off.  There were times when Mickey did have to jump or dodge obstacles like a cow crossing before the trolley moved on.

Mickey also had to use his spin attacks to push levers down to make other things happen, I had to get used to the trolley as it was constantly raising and lowering, and Mickey of course died, but I did better the second time and I believe that I did have Mickey snag the film reel before he made it out.  At the end the card acted mildly impressed but he still thought Mickey's success in making it through the first one was a fluke.  I just thought "Whatever."

  9-8-2016 Continued

help me.gif    After Mickey returned from the trolley ride, he did not have any time to rest before he learned of his second challenge. This time the snarky card told Mickey that he "had better be on his best caliber."  I have to admit I was not sure of what to expect once Mickey headed through the screen and back into Oswald's cartoon world.  I quickly discovered the reason behind the name, "Great Guns." There literally was a war going on and we were smack dab in the middle of it.  Now, I did not know that I was to avoid the first tank, so I had Mickey jump up onto it, and of course Mickey felt the stinging jolt of the barbed wire fence that he was supposed to jump over.

I think our first time ended shortly after Mickey took on some bullets from enemy fire.  Still, that was a good thing I got to start over, and I made sure that Mickey jumped over the fences, avoided the bullets, but he could not stay on the airplane that was flying high for his life.  After several tries, several falls, several hits, several more deaths I decided to skip the airplane, stay low and get Mickey to the exit area .  He did pick up more e-tickets so that was good enough, but when I saw Rob's video play where he showed other players how to take the high road and get the film reel, I had an "Oh duh!"  moment.

If I would have tried harder , Mickey could have avoided the ground mostly, ride one airplane until it came closer to another one that did shoot at Mickey well the other plane, but Mickey could have leaped over to that plane, gotten flown over to the limb with the reel, avoided the guy shooting his gun, by just jumping down off the tree . Instead Mickey died a couple more times, because of the guy shooting bullets, but I learned how to dodge those and he did a spin attack to fire the last cannon , that in turn blasted a wall open, that revealed the projector screen that I wasted no time at all in jumping through to literally get the heck out of Dodge .
Oops here is the URL for IGN and "Great Guns"

imageviolin.gif 9-8-16 Continued

Before the third and final challenge , the card said that he did not have anything clever to say about the next one. He just wanted Mickey to jump through the next screen.  This challenge was called, "Oh, What a Knight."  In this scene there were more hazards for Mickey to get around.  Right off the bat, I had Mickey jump on the donkey, that IGN says to jump over, oh well it really did not make much of a difference.  He really was not the hazard Mickey had to worry about, no the crocodiles were.  Before I saw the pattern, Mickey got killed by them, but I finally saw the time to jump on their heads while all of their jaws were closed.  I also learned to leap quickly , and keep Mickey moving , or they quickly re-submerged and then just as fast return with their jaws opened wide.

Once Mickey made it across the croc bridge, Mickey made it to the castle, where a guard was patrolling, so maybe we had to repeat the first steps, until Mickey could finally jump onto the lion's head.  After that I had Mickey use one of his famous spin attacks to pull or push a lever that lowered a draw bridge that Mickey could safely use to collect some e-tickets.  Once back inside, Mickey had to activate another lever that in turn caused some ledges to temporarily appear and extend out to the right.  It took a few more tries for Mickey to leap quickly across them, where of course a knight with a lance was ready to rush him with.

The idea was to jump to avoid it, and the next stage was a little to the left with more ledges and another guard that knocked Mickey all the way back to the beginning.  So, in my original game I never got by him , so Mickey never found the leading lady, but I survived and I did find the exit and I finally completed the challenges.  Of course the card said Oswald could have done it in half the time to that I say,  and  along with .

All I cared about was completing the Quests  "Oswald's Three Challenges," and "Find Oswald."  Or something along those lines.  Mickey could not leave yet though, he had to talk to Oswald.  To make it short, Oswald came up with a plan to use the rocket in Tomorrow City to escape.
You all can see the long version in Rob's videoblogger video , and you all can read more about "Oh, What a Knight" here:
http://www.ign.com/wikis/disney-epic-mi ... t_a_Knight

This finally concludes Mickeyjunk Mountain !   YAY!
Next time I will share Mickey's return to Ostown , next week I need a little break!

10-26-16

imageproxyhi.gif  Hello again !  I think I am ready to continue , to give you another little spoiler alert (close your eyes and scroll down to avoid it if you want.)  I am currently trying to get by the Shadow Blot in my game.
For now, I am ready to post about what happened after Mickeyjunk Mountain.  I recall being very happy, when Mickey got to return to OsTown.   Right after he jumped out of the familiar screen, Gilda was there on the bridge waiting for him.  She wanted to challenge him to another race.  So, I tried it, and since I did not know the route of the race, I did my best, but it was more difficult than the first race.  Mickey ran out of time, and the prize was just a power spark.

I found plenty of other ways to earn those.  After the race, I had Mickey head on over to see Clarabelle, I wanted to see if she had the ice cream cake ready for us to deliver.  She did, and she asked Mickey to take it over to Mean Street and Horace.  So, Mickey and I headed back to Mean Street, and Oswald The Lucky Rabbit informed Mickey about a broken projector that only could be fixed by Gremlin Markus.  Which that was the ultimate goal and purpose for that stage of the game.

Once Mickey left Oswald , he headed back over to Horace's Detective Agency .  Horace was glad to see him, and he was very touched by the Ice Cream Cake from Clarabelle.  In turn, he gave Mickey a power spark and a Mean Street Romance Pin.  But, before Mickey left, Horace had another job for him.  He asked Mickey to find his missing book, by following the blue foot prints.  Mickey looked around for the blue foot prints, and he found a shady character named Shifty on the roof of the movie theatre .  I don't know how he did it, but Mickey always managed to get caught up in the half painted building , he would fall down inside, and it took me sometime to get him back out.

Anyway, he found Shifty, and he tried to convince Mickey that the book was like Horace's book, but it wasn't Horace's book, yeah okay. So, he offered Mickey a deal to buy the book from him for 50 E-tickets.  Mickey bought the book, took it back to Horace, and Horace gave Mickey another power spark and another quest about a missing dog in Tomorrow City.  He wanted Mickey to look from some dog tags, I accepted his new case, and Mickey headed off .   I might have spent sometime shopping for some extra life, or health, paint, or thinner.

Then, I had Mickey check in with Pete and Pete asked Mickey to round up some Bunny Children for him on Mean Street, before Mickey hunted for them and made sure they were sucked up into a pipe.  Pete was more than happy, and he rewarded Mickey with a power spark, before he gave Mickey another Quest.  "Confront Petetronic ."  After Mickey left Pete, he went to Gremlin Markus , gave him the amount of power sparks needed , and Markus repaired the new Projector Screen.  So, there was nothing left to do but to jump into the new frontier and travel through Plutopia Part 1 on his way to Tomorrow City, another major stage in the game.  This area turned out to be my least favorite of all of them.  I have to get some notes together since, I haven't been there in several months.

Until I do, you all can watch Rob's video here:

    11-29-16

imageproxyhi.gif   Hello again!  Thank you for coming and visiting Once Upon A Dream, I love seeing the counter that lets me know when people have stopped by.  It makes me feel happy and very grateful.  I am going to hopefully continue sharing about my own Epic Mickey experience. I left off right before Plutopia  Part 1, that was the next transition stage for the game.  Plutopia was very bright and colorful I discovered while watching another video guide on You Tube .

I will share more about the guy that posted his Epic Mickey guide in another post. Anyway, he shared more about the background , and Tomorrow City was modeled after Tron .  The colors changed constantly too, it was a scene from the 60's .  This world was also described by IGN as the closest Pluto could or would imagine his own heaven being like. The first thing that Mickey went through were gates with fire hydrants on either side.  The next thing Mickey went to was a house all white at first, but changed colors later.

Anyway, I had Mickey jump up onto the floor mat , that went up to roof on the house.
So, Mickey hopped off the mat, and went on the roof , before he jumped down the chimney to collect some E-tickets.  After that, Mickey rode the mat again, went by the chimney, before he headed for a fire hydrant, actually a series of fire hydrants.  I will admit, it took several tries to figure out the hydrants, it was all about timing, and having the right timing.  The goal was to have Mickey jump onto the caps of each fire hydrant and use them to go up higher.  Well Mickey had another idea, his idea made him get hit with the water.

Which in turn made him fall off.  But with each game, I got better and even in my first game I finally got him to go up on the floating caps.  Once he was up in the air, Mickey had to master staying on floating bones, that I thought were weird clouds my first time lol.  The bones did not stick around, so again it all had to do with the right timing and knowing when to jump.  Mickey had some falls , but then he finally got across those.   It took both of us several tries when were figuring out how to get the film reel.  When I watched Rob's video guide, I finally understood how it worked.  The idea was to have Mickey use his spin attack, to knock the sausage out of the cat's paws that was standing by the tree.

Once the sausage was thrown, Mickey could use it as a floating platform to reach the top of the tree, and get the film reel, that I did finally get in some other games.  Another tricky area of Plutopia Part 1 was the meat cleaver, that Mickey could not clear when he was supposed to jump over, but I did wait until it was down and he did eventually jump over it.  Once Mickey was done with the meat cleaver, he came to three more water hydrants, that he navigated across in order to reach the next stage, which was Tomorrow City.
I have some more notes to take before I can post about Tomorrow City.

imageproxywater.gif      Hello!  I have a lot more video game adventures to share after I took a pretty long break from Epic Mickey.  So, I want to get through Tomorrow City, so I can share new progress on Ghost Busters, Scooby-Doo First Frights, new Scooby-Doo game Scooby-Doo And The Spooky Swamp, and a game I got for Christmas in 2013 from my sis BRAVE.  So, I am eager to get to the break in Epic Mickey.  Not to mention, now that I have Internet connection for my Xbox360, I have been playing more of Disneyland Adventures, and my new game I mentioned in another post, that I got from my sis for Christmas.  Lego Jurassic World, so I am beyond ready to share that game , it is fun and not very scary , yet lol.

Mickey and I traveled to a futuristic city.  I had him walk forward into the great unknown (the first time). Until he reached a lake made of thinner.  Where he ascended a pole, the first of two.  The pole had had turning platforms that I had Mickey start and stop with paint and thinner.  He had to climb his way up, and it was tricky because if he accidently started a platform he was standing on , he would fall, and he fell.  But, I got the hang of it, and he made it up to the larger platform at the top.  Once he had made his way to the top, he sprayed paint on the gear at the end .  He also thinned out a wall to collect Goofy's  Right Leg from a hidden alcove.

After he collected the first part of Goofy, he found a safe place to land after he made a very big leap to get down.  Then, he made his way over to another part of the great unknown where some alien like Spatters were waiting to greet him.  First time, I hit them with thinner and the other two times I used paint.  The first time I played, I just had Mickey achieve the goal or Quest "Raise the Notilus."  But, during my most recent game I spent time exploring, and Mickey found some secret gears, gold tickets, and a gremlin named Star.

I always found him after raising the submarine , which if I had known he would have helped me with the second pole and gears , I would have loved that.  But, he had other sweet rewards for Mickey.  Back to the poles, the second pole was even more trickier to climb.  Mickey had more falls into the thinner, he finally made it , and he painted in the other gear and finally the Notilus  was raised to see another day.  Once Mickey found a way across to the Notilus he hopped on to the side with the next projector, and I had him hop on through.
I still have notes to write for the next Film Stage, I think it is "Mickey And The Mechanical Man."
I Will Continue Tomorrow City As Soon As I Can!

imageproxyhi.gif   Hello!  I just finished taking notes for the place where I left off ,  "Mickey's Mechanical Man Part 1". This was another projector stage on the way to Tomorrow City Lagoon.  The stage began when Mickey headed to his right, where there was a safe that was hanging by a rope.  I had Mickey jump up onto the safe, and he did a double jump to reach a higher opening.  I had him try to avoid the downed power lines and fuse boxes once he made it outside.  When I noticed a car with a robot near it,  I had Mickey jump up on to the car where he honked the horn.  The horn startled the robot, and it sent him charging through more power poles that he knocked down.

Mickey had a clear path, but it was also a very risky path, I had to study the pattern of the electric current, before I had Mickey jump over them.  He did get zapped , but he survived.  I got better the more games I played, especially around my third game.  Anyway, Mickey tried to avoid the electrically charged obstacles.  Once he was across the yard, Mickey made it into a boxing match that was going on between a gorilla and the robot .

The moment the gorilla swung his boxing glove and delivered a devastating blow to the poor robot's head, Mickey took a mighty leap up to his head, and this took more than several times, but he finally stayed on and rode the robot's popped off head to the rafters way above the ring.  So, that step took several more tries. but Mickey and I never gave up, and by the second or third game I got him up there.  He landed all of the jumps, got the E-tickets, and swung on the light fixtures so that he could jump across to the far left and got the film reel , not in the first game though, but definitely in the second and third game.  After he grabbed the reel, he dropped down, collected some more E-tickets, and exited on to the next stage, the Tomorrow City Lagoon.

That place was not one of my favorites, I know I said Mickey Junk Mountain was not, but the next stages of the game in Tomorrow City made it look like a cake walk.
So, next time my journey with Mickey will continue on to Tomorrow City Lagoon.
You all can watch how Rob did in his videogamebloggers video guide , and you all can read more about "Mickey's Mechanical Man Part 1" here:

I could not get the URL from Mechanical Man to post, so go to the above URL and it will list all of the stages for that area, including the Projector Stages.

imageproxyhi.gif Hello again!  I  have more notes ready for the next part of Mickey's journey to Tomorrow City, he was almost there and I will share how Mickey did at the Proper Entrance to Tomorrow City, Tomorrow City Lagoon.  That is a long title no?  I thought so lol, and I also thought this stage was taking forever at least getting to it.  I just played another game in this stage last year, I think I began it in 2015 like the summer of it.  This was one of my least favorites, there were steam pipes and valves that had to be repaired.  That sounded easy enough right?  Well, not quite because Mickey also met and faced a new Beetleworx called a Spinner.  I really hated these things, they reminded me of a spider and a hard shelled beetle at the same time.  It also took some time and work to defeat those things, the object of the game was to spray their shell with thinner, they could not be befriended by paint.

Once their shell was thinned out, then they flipped over and once they flipped over, Mickey had to hurry and hit them three times with his spin attack.  Well, in my experiences Mickey got chased, before his pips were hit the heck out of him, and he died more than the Spinner did.  I also had Mickey hug the sub that was docked out in the thinner sea, Spinners could not go there.  I faced and fought these things more times than I want to recall, especially after Mickey fell into the thinner and died!  It really drove me crazy, but then after I never gave up, I finally got Mickey to have the upper hand over the Spinner, and he finally fixed the valves. He did that by thinning out the pipes, then I saw the steam, and he hurried and spun the valves, before I had him paint in the steaming pipes again.  During that process , a huge piece of an overhead structure fell, and Mickey had to jump on it and go up to a level where Mickey had to watch his step due to an area with a false bottom, so I quickly learned to have him do a double jump.

I also used paint on the Sweeper, so that Mickey made it across where there were more Spinners to take out. Then, Mickey headed along the walkway, I rescued Gremlin Wilco , during one of my trips and he fixed the valves for Mickey, well the last two.  Mickey also found and rescued Gremlin Roger and Mickey did the UFO Challenge, he had to handle enemies on an UFO that was way out in the sea of thinner, but he found platforms that he painted, and hopped across.  After the UFO Challenge that I did once and only once, Mickey was given a Bronze Pin.  After Mickey got back, he jumped up to the second level, and I had Mickey do a very risky and interesting jump down, and he made it through to the exit and that completed the stage and Mickey was finally on his way to Tomorrow City!
Well, we have to get through Tomorrow City Great Big Tomorrow lol .

Until Then!

      4-10-17

imageproxyhi.gifHello!  Last week, I took some time to find and write down the notes for The Great Big Tomorrow, this stage of the game reminded me of one of my favorites attractions in Tomorrow Land at Walt Disney World, The Carousel Of Progress.  It was a carousel , that had a different occupant, and I will get to that in a little bit.  But, before Mickey got there, he continued his journey by walking down a short hallway, that had containers along the way.  The containers had more health, and E-Tickets for him.  So, I took advantage of those then Mickey walked beside Gus , as he talked about The Great Big Tomorrow, and how much the toons all enjoyed coming there and seeing the sights.  They were almost there, when Mickey was introduced to the Slobber, and Gus also talked about how someone wanted to stop Mickey if they put a Slobber there.

The Slobber was blocking the entrance, because Mister Rover closed off the entrance, and Mickey was told by Gus that he could defeat the Slobber with thinner, or befriend the Slobber with paint.  I always chose paint, and I chose paint during my first trip through Tomorrow City.  Paint was a longer way, and I also learned fairly quickly that Mickey had to stay away from the purple Slobber's swinging fists.  The Slobber was like a big, fat, purple blob .  The Slobber was the most powerful enemy that Mickey had ever faced as well, so before the battle began I had Mickey collect extra paint, E-Tickets, and health if there was any around. Once the battle began, I kept Mickey close enough to have contact with the Slobber, but I also kept Mickey a safe distance, or other wise Mickey got clobbered, I just had to wait until the Slobber spit acid, and I had Mickey avoid that, until the Slobber would try to inhale Mickey, then in that moment I had Mickey spray his mouth with paint.  I repeated that dance, and it took awhile, but once the Slobber turned completely blue, with little blue Mickey ears floating above his head I heard that I had won.  I was also very happy with the reward, the next piece of Goofy was so worth all of the kindness I showed through Mickey painting the Slobber.

After the battle was over, Mickey met Mister Rover and Mister Rover rewarded him with Goofy's torso, that was in a chest.  Mister Rover also gave Mickey a TV Sketch, and Mickey learned through Gus's instructional tutorial how to use the TV Sketch.  I learned how to press my + button on my Wii remote, to cycle through the different Sketches, and how to direct the Sketch to land in the place I wanted it. Mickey helped Mister Rover power up the carousel with a TV from the TV Sketch, and since Mickey humored Gus he was rewarded with a TV Pin.  Mister Rover also told Mickey how he could use his paint to restore Tomorrow City, or cause destruction with his thinner.  I chose the good path for most of the game, I enjoy restoring and making Wasteland beautiful again with Mickey's paint.  After Mister Rover's speech , Mickey made his way down a newly opened corridor to the reach the next projector screen that led Mickey into the next stage, Plutopia Part 2.

cloud9.gif   Hello!  The rain has held off so I thought that I would post the next part to my Epic Mickey Journey.  I left off at Plutopia  Part 2.  Plutopia Part 2 connects Tomorrow City- Great Big Tomorrow with Tomorrow City- Tomorrow Square.  Mickey was heading towards Tomorrow City- Tomorrow Square, but before he could go there, I had to navigate through Pluto's happy place, Plutopia .
Once Mickey entered Pluto's dream world, he was faced with some new challenges in the form of swinging doors.  He did not get harmed if he fell off, but I still had him stay on the left side of the door.  So, that after the door swung open it was easier for Mickey to get the film reel.  Then, after Mickey cleared all of the swinging doors, Mickey used his spin attack on a near by cat.  The spin attack made the cat run off so that Mickey could ride the ledge the geyser of water provided.  Mickey also used some stairs that had bouncing bones falling down as he climbed up.

Yes, Mickey died a couple of times, but he eventually made it to yet another obstacle with bones, a pile of bones but, I figured out how to use my double jump after I followed the advice of the guide I used on IGN.  Then, Mickey used another spin attack on the cat in order for him to ride another geyser of water, and the cat also lost his grip on his sausage.  The sausage in turn made another ledge for Mickey to climb across on as he collected some more E-tickets.  Then, after Mickey ran across the meat made ledge, he dropped down to a bed where the next stage's projector screen waiting to take Mickey to Tomorrow City- Tomorrow Square.

     5-18-17

imageproxyoops.gif   Hello!  I am here and finally ready to share what happened during Mickey's time in the next stage, Tomorrow City-Tomorrow Square.  Well, out of all of the locations in this area of Epic Mickey this one was my least favorite.  I recall in my very first experience, that Mickey had to start out by placing TV sketches on the three power pads that were on a electrically charged track, once I had Mickey place the first TV, after Gremlin Apollo told him to do just that.  After Mickey got the electricity flowing around the tracks, I had him watch out for the pattern of the current, and I had him jump, but he got zapped of course.  I also had Mickey choose his battles, there were more enemies like Spinners, and the mechanical birds called, Hoppers.

So Mickey got chased, got zapped, and when the people movers got going, he got run over.  The quests in the area for Mickey were repairing the rocket ride, and repairing the tram.  Mickey discovered the tram when he hid from the Spinners, so I was nice and I had him paint in some gears, and use his spin attack on the larger gear, however if Mickey died he had to start all over, so I mostly followed Rob's example on videobloggers.com , which was fix the people movers, avoid the zap, jump over to the rocket ride, and jump over to a big boom box to me.  That took me several tries and several more tries, but one night in July I finally got the heck out of there.

During my second experience, I tried to explore more, I still died, but I think I found the extra content , and I think I at least repaired the tram and attempted to have Mickey jump across the tram cars, which of course he died lol and I just wanted to get the heck out of there again.  Then, when I was working on my third game, I used a trick that another player posted on IGN.  It really was an Oh duh moment for me, but I tried their tip out left the power off on the track.  Mickey got around a lot better, I also found the Tomorrow City  Extra Content , repaired the tram, rode the tram got Goofy's Left Leg, Mickey also found the Golden Ticket, I painted in the platforms after I caused the structure holding the ticket to fall through the floor.  Mickey also was rewarded with some more TV Sketches.

Once, Mickey got back to the surface, he avoided the Spinners, and I safely got Mickey over to the area where the rocket ride was , and saved another Gremlin, named Sparks and he found Gremlin Nova, and the rocket ride was not hard to repair, all Mickey had to do was use his spin attack to start up the panel and that in turn started new machinery that was followed by activating a check point, which was a very good thing.  Then, I checked to see if Mickey had done everything, collected everything before he took a ride on one of the rockets, and jumped down to a platform with Gremlin Nova, and Gremlin Nova opened the way to the exit, but Mickey got a good job from Apollo before he left.  So, I did better in the third game, and it was so much easier to move around with out the people movers and the track filled with crackling electricity.   Before Mickey completely left , he headed down a 'T' in the path, and headed left to find a Gold Pin, then he said, "Good bye", and jumped into the projector screen.
Next time I will share how Mickey faired in Mickey's Mechanical Man -Part 2 .

imageproxypurplethumb.gif Hello again!  I hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day, and my prayers have been with the people in the UK in Manchester .  I will continue to pray for those who are facing people with only hate and anger in their hearts , instead of love and acceptance.
The next part of Mickey's epic journey is pretty short and sweet, but it was important.  Because, it connected Tomorrow City-Tomorrow Square with Tomorrow City-Space Voyage.  According the walkthrough on IGN, it was pretty straight forward.  I thought that it was one of the kinder routes out of all of the others Mickey traveled through so far.

Mickey started out by jumping across some safes that were swinging and dangling.  I did my best to avoid the pits waiting in some gaps between the swinging safes, but if Mickey fell, it was not a big deal to start over. Once, he made it across, he went outside where a transistor was waiting, I will admit it took me several tries to get Mickey to stay on it after he double jumped to get on it. However, once he did , I kept him on it, and as it bounced up and down, Mickey waited until it was up in the air then he jumped off to a higher ledge where the next film reel was waiting.  After Mickey grabbed the film reel, he collected some E-tickets as he made his way across .

Then, he dropped down and continued heading towards his right, where he hopped along some very easy edges, until he came to a ring with another boxing match.  I believe the same boxers were fighting, the robot and the gorilla .  They duked it out, while Mickey jumped on the excited spectators heads, as they leaped up and down .  Mickey also collected more E-tickets and at times he needed the extra health boost since, yeah he fell off of them and met their swinging fists.  As they too were fighting the opponent from their seats.  But, I figured out the timing and Mickey stayed on them and kept on going his way to the right, until he found the next projector screen, that he jumped through to the next area Tomorrow City-Space Voyage.
Until next time!

imageproxyoops.gif  Hello!  There seems to be a break in the rain, so I will do my best to post as much as I can.  If I have to stop, I will continue as soon as I can.

Tomorrow City-Space Voyage

After Mickey's fairly long ride down on the elevator, Gus walked him through what he was going to have to accomplish if he wanted to clear this stage of the game.  I paid attention, so that I would know what needed to be done and what I needed to focus on.  Then, I studied Mickey's surroundings, there was a track and it went all the way around.  I kept Mickey on a ledge away from the track, since there were more trams moving around constantly.  I also could not help but notice that there was something new to kill Mickey, there were these electrical bursts that periodically extended out from the walls.

So, Mickey had to really stay on his toes to avoid the trams and the electrical currents.  In a couple of my games, I found Gremlin Epsilon and Mickey had a choice for him to disable the electric power, or the trams.  I always had Mickey pick the trams.  Because, I could time the electricity and Mickey learned how to avoid it.  Still, before Mickey even found him, he had to make a dash to his left, while he dodged or painted enemies, and quietly painted a sleeping Spladoosh.  Then, he found a weak point in a near by wall, that he broke through with his spin attack.  That room had another hidden room with a TV Sketch inside, and after he leaped over another wall he took down, then he found Gremlin Epsilon.

Mickey also found some extra content for Petetronic in another wall.  Then, I had Mickey do some more walking around, until he came to his first area that had a task or Quest for him to complete.  It was fairly simple, he just had to watch out for more electricity while he tried to board another elevator that had pipes, he painted those in and some pistons that were not working started up again.  Mickey used the series of pistons to reach the higher level, where some more enemies were waiting for him. But, he took care of them by either thinning them out, or painting them to make them friendly.  Once, the enemies were no longer a problem, Mickey went around to an area that they were guarding to find a treasure chest with a Bronze Pin inside.

He also could have used a TV Sketch to power up a crane, and eventually ride the platform on the crane up another platform by or on the rocket to save another gremlin.  I did not really mess too much with the crane until my most recent game.  When I did, Mickey had a nasty fall, and I gave up.  In one game I missed out on getting Goofy's Arm, but in the others I found another way to Goofy's Arm, it took some climbing carefully around the outside edges, and after Mickey walked all around to his right , he found the area just the same and got Goofy's Arm.  He also found the golden ticket, and I explored around just for the fun of it.

Mickey also found Gremlin Delta, and he shut down the generator, and Gremlin Omega also helped Mickey out when he shut the power to the Beetleworx  generator off.  Then, Mickey found a Silver pin , before in two of my games I found Pluto's Dog Tags that were needed for a future side quest .  In my first game I missed them, I saw them, but I could not figure out how to get to them, but all Mickey had to do was go up to a waiting ball like space ship and thin out the doors, then he climbed inside, the ball ship took him up, and once it stopped, I had to get my sense of direction back lol, but I did and he just walked on a metal strip , and then he jumped down into a glass looking case , a big one maybe even a glass room.

So, after doing all of that heck yeah I made sure he grabbed those dog tags.  Then, I had Mickey return to the upper level , and he came face to face with a new machine like enemy.  He was called the Tanker , and this robot with a serious attitude always sprayed and shot Mickey with thinner or paint.  There was a funny moment in one of my games, where somehow I got the Tanker to fall down to the lower level, I think I thinned out a spot he was standing on and down he went!

In my other games, I followed Rob's example and I dodged him and quickly had Mickey repair this fuse box on one of the sides of the elevator.  Because, I always died trying to take him down, a person can if they want to.  They have to hit him with thinner, thin out his back or something and hit him three times with a spin attack.  If they do I applaud them, because it just seemed like a lot of work to me.  Once Mickey was on the elevator, the stage ended with Oswald talking about how he was faster or whatever lol.  The next area of the game they were headed to was Tomorrow City- Petetronic Boss Battle .
Until Then!

little angry.gif   Hello!  I have written down the notes for the next chapter in Mickey's epic journey.  I will admit this was one of the most frustrating stages in the entire game up to that point.  The first time I was about to have Mickey face Petetronic was in July of 2015, and it was short lived.  Because, I just saved the game and said, "Nope, Not today. Another day."  Then later on in that same month, I had Mickey give it another shot, and Pete was tough. I also had to discover how to find time to paint the circular ledges back in , while Mickey had to jump around to live.  It was not easy at all, and I kept on returning.

I tried more times than I cared to count to get the best of Pete.  It greatly annoyed me how he laughed when Mickey got hit by his whirling blade, or the thinner.  Then, I was happy when Mickey hit him back with his own whirling blades and twirled him around, before Mickey could fill a circular patch on his back while he was stunned.  I chose paint and Mickey started turning Pete blue.  However, there were a lot of the times when Mickey fell off the ledge and died, which made me really upset, and Pete laugh.  So, after one night  when I lost my temper I decided to call it quits for awhile and build up my confidence by playing other games I also enjoyed.

Petetronic will be continued , but now I will be sharing about the other video games I played while avoiding Epic Mickey like the plague lol.
Until then,
Rob really made me laugh when I watched him tackle Pete on videobloggers.com about Page 2 or 3.
