Hello!  I hope all of you have had a great week, as promised I am here to share about my sister's snapping turtle she named, Henry.

Henry's story began on a Fall Day, back in 2014.  My sister and her family rescued a baby turtle that they discovered was a snapping turtle from a very busy road.

Since he was just a baby and all alone, they all decided to keep Henry and be his new family.  They named their new family member Henry.

Henry liked having his pictures taken, so my sister shared them with me, and I always wanted to share his pictures on Once Upon A Dream, but you all know the history

behind why I couldn't, until now!  He was just too cute not to share.

The first picture she shared with me was in 2015 when he was still a baby turtle.

They gave him a very nice habitat to live in.

In the second picture, Henry looked like he was swimming around.

The third picture showed off more of his habitat and maybe Henry was in there instead of playing Where's Waldo?

We all can play Where's Henry?  I looked at the picture again and I honestly cannot see him.  Can you all see him?

I think I saw him. But I am not going to ruin the fun for you.

The fourth picture shows Henry's ability to hide in his surroundings hint look at the log.

In the fifth picture you all can see that Henry could not blend in very well with the color green.

The sixth picture comes with a funny story that my sister told me it was about my niece and her FROZEN blanket.

When she was younger, she had a fight over the blanket with Henry, he loved it too.  My sister and I shared a laugh.

I hope that the story gives you a little time to laugh, chuckle, giggle, and smile.

The seventh picture also comes with another story, when Henry wanted to make friends with his food instead of eating it, my sister and the family set up a sweet aquarium because she

had bought Glo Fish, two of her favorites were a green one named Hulk and an orange or yellow one she named Winnie.  Here is what she called, Fish Paradise, no kidding, how did they do those lights at the bottom?

In the eighth picture Henry was hanging out in front of the fireplace.

When Henry started getting older, he graduated to shrimp, and my sister had a painful experience, she fed Henry one day and her finger was taken in with the shrimp!

Henry did not like it either, because he could not let go of her finger, I guess he could not release his snapped jaw, I can't remember if she got something to pry them open, of if someone else did it.

From that point on, she used grabbers or something long to feed him his shrimp. Another interesting thing she told me was that they potty trained Henry to let them know when he had to do his business.

I think a bell was involved.

Henry also went with my sister to her workplace, she is a counselor, and Henry was a therapy turtle, during one of her younger client's visits, the little girl asked my sister if she could put a diaper on Henry!  My sister thought it would be alright, so she did, and Henry let her!  He was a special snapping turtle.  It was a baby doll's diaper, and I can see that vision in my head.  Here is the ninth and final picture of Henry, as he swum around in the tub and played with his red floaty ring.

In 2018, Henry started to develop health issues that perplexed my sister, some of them she got advice from an online vet, and she was able to treat them with medications.

But then he had an infection on his eyes, that had scales form?  So, she made the hard decision to rehome him, with a former member of the family to care for him.

Next week, I will share the updates about the eagles from 2014-2018.

Until Next Time!

Enjoy Your Weekend!

Stay Safe and Cool!

God Bless!
